Well, think about it this way... on a stockish Skyline, power peaks at about 6,000rpm, then starts dropping off... if you increased redline, it's still going to drop in that new area... best thing to do, shortly after you hit peak power, change gears, get back into that meaty power/torque area and pass the guy.

Didn't want to get into the argument about why I shouldn't rev to 8000rpm, I just want to know what the motor is capable of both in terms of valve gear and also bottem end of a TOTALLY stock (unbalanced) motor.

Then I can potentially match a turbo to that safe rev range.
