Currently I have no audio in my car, so going to install a new system in the next a few weeks or so, but I've got a few questions.

1. What is the stock front speaker size in a 32GTR? And what is the biggest size I can install without stuffing around too much.

2. Going to install coaxial front and rear, since I couldn't be bothered drilling hole for splits and mounting the cross over. So what is the best 2 way coaxial

on the market money can buy?

hey man, um with the size of the speakers in the gtr im not too sure. but just get urself some spacers made up, they are REALLLY easy to make and this way u can fit wat ever size speakers u want, preferably 6.5"

with the "best coaxial" on the market try post this in http://www.mobileelectronics.com.au. um also because audio is a very subject and personal choice might be best to go and hear some speakers urself at an audio store. this way u can judge urself what speakers are better.

I ended up putting in some 5 inch co-axials in the front ( I think they are 5inch). I just made a little spacer out of some MDF to mount them. throw out the old plastic speaker mount thing and just make one up out of some mdf. easy, and no need to cut up the door trim or grill. for the rear I just slotted in some 6inch co-axials (i think 6 inch, may have been 6.5). either way it's pretty easy.

no idea what are the best money can buy is, but if you are willing to spend up decent coin maybe just get some splits? it's not that much more effort to mount the cross over and tweeter. I really like boston accoustics and have enjoyed their splits very much in previous cars, but listen to some speakers and choose some you like.

As Chris said, but Im running Alpine Type R 6.5 coaxial up the back, and the same in 6.5 splits at the front with a spacer (easy work)

Theres a template in this section somewhere for this.

Speaker choice will come down to personal preference and type of music you mainly listen to.

But I personally love mine, and I havn't even got around to sound deadening yet.

awesome!. Thanks for the input guys. :)

Its not so much mounting the crossover that bothers me, rather positioning the tweeters so they can produce overall package. Being down that road in my previous car, but didn't really sound good with tweeters mounted on the door. ;)

yeah I can unserstand that. the tweeters really need to be mounted high and foward I think to get good sound.

in that case just go for something similar to what I did. it's not earth shaking, but I just wanted something for long drives and the main thing was it had to be lightweight, so no amps, and speakers as small and light as possible.
