Just recently I had my 32 GTR serviced, etc and ever since I got it, it's had a strong petrol fume smell. It turned out to be a small fuel injector leak. Now 3 injectors are leaking!

I've been told by multiple people that simply replacing the O-Rings will fix the issue, but my mechanic has suggested paying $330 per injector to get all 6 replaced. I'm not prepared to go down the larger injector path due to a stock ecu, so I'm getting brand new genuine Nissan parts.

Would it be the O rings or are these injectors prone to leakage, as I've heard that these days as the 32 GTR's age, the actual injector beings to leak.

Cheers

Sometimes a fresh set of o-rings can fix it but the injectors can also leak from the body (the yellow cap at the top of the injector) & from what I know they're not viable to fix but I may be wrong. Clean them down with some degreaser/WD40 etc, dry 'em off & lightly sprinkle with some talcum powder or some other fine powder. Go for a short sharp drive (on boost) & see if that helps hi-light where the leaks are coming from. O-rings from memory ar 8x2mm & last time I got a set the guy at the shop wouldn't even take anything for 'em, they're only a few cents each.

Seriously though if you're looking to pay $1980 for 6 std injectors new from Nissan you could get a PowerFC, a new set of big injectors & a quick tune for about the same money. Think VERY seriously before rushing in & spending that amount on stock injectors only.

Good Luck with it, let us know the end-result
