ok kahli,as you already know this has been advertised and spred though myspace, and i would take the advertisment off you own page as well as let the various other people know that have posted it on there sites IE "Adelaide Imports" .i would HIGHLY recomend changing the meet spot and sending PM's to everyone that askes as i already know a few clowns that drive commonwhores planing to turn up.i hope you can work it all out! see you there :)

As I said earlier in the fourm, if there is any unwanted guess i will ask them nicely to leave. Also I advertised it on myspace first for my friends to veiw on myspace, I did ask them to help out but after i spoke to Kellie about issues i didnt know about, yeah it was a bit of a mistake but doesnt mean i will be changing the meet spot.

Kahli, YOU'RE CRAZY!

So can I expect to see that kind of driving on the cruise? Might need to strap the donuts down lol!

PS: your sig is either too big and got cut off, or a terrible design (sorry if it is).

Will turn up still. Hopefully it will all be A ok but If too many noobs around (in commodores particularly) looking for trouble I will bail. not worth getting into trouble with idiots who might be looking to give someone a bad day.

No offense kahli.

Commys and fords which i do not know will be told to leave the cruise because it is an import cruise only unless i know the people, if anyone is being stupid even if i do know them i will be telling them to leave.

Only acception i will allow is cooking the marshmallows behind Nathans car... :D:banana:

so ya reckon unwanted guest will just say oh we are not invited cruise is off fella's your dreaming if you dont change the start place your just asking for trouble and thats the last thing anyone needs in a import .

for ya own saftey sake and other imports car drivers sake i suggest you rethink the meeting place i can see this one on the news. hoons in imports battle with other local hoons if anybody with half a brain goes to the advertised meeting spot now you deserve the defects you get.

i bet any money ya like the poo poo are rubbing there hands in glee over this one

anyone who advertises a party or cruise on myspace has no space between there ears

Edited by mid life crisis

seiously dont ya have anythin better to do at 3:10 in the morning lol

and mid life crisis if ya dont like the idea of it then dont post in here and DONT show up to the cruise coz u mite get defected lol

max, I think you've missed what mlc is trying to say here and anyone else that advertises any kind of event on myspace.....whether you agree with it or not, its a recipe for disaster.....madaz has obviously understood what mlc was trying to say (by the way, the guy's name is cory steve).

Its not about police knowing your presence and risking a defect, thats just a small part of it, its more to do with the nobs that you'll encounter that could turn very ugly with some of your faces & cars possibly appearing on the 6pm news, hospital or even Angas Street Watch House overnight.

love the watch house food :)

do you want to be made to joke of australia he is not cool but rather a tool

young ones (points at max) think there invincible remember drunk yobbo down south a few weeks ago wasn't afraid to stand up to Pete (whilst that was the jungle juice talking) he did think he was invincible with his mates

corey300.jpg

steve i dont think im invincible (it would be nice) lol, i would be one of the first to run away lol (incident down south, i was standing right at the back, even when the bottle landed near my car i did nothing)

but all im saying is she has gone to the length's of organizing it

im gonna let the police kno about it and im sure others have mentioned it

i will see if they can be there to make sure there is no stupid shit goin on

and if anything happens i will recommend that we leave that spot and head straight for the first place and only tell the people we know and all leave at different times so people dont get too suspicious

and for all everyone knows it could turn out to be a decent event.

anyway it is the first sat of the month and most of the commodore and ford hoons will be out with RCK.

firstly thank you jdm for been so concerned about my sleeping habits :-) and your right i wont get a defect cause i WONT be there i dont like to put my car in situations where that may happen .

thanks sled and madaz for seeing the post they way it was ment to be taken . i know a lot of organisation has taken place and i hope it's a great cruise for all involved .

but i cant see people saying oh where not allowed to tag along so we will just leave quietly mate it just aint going to happen . advertising the meet place publicly prob not the greatest idea just pm the location to interested parties like the other cruise;s would have been a better idea anyway good luck and i hope the police dont set up a defect station just before the start time like at mallala the other week .

so after everyone bashing the police and all now its time to ring em up and invite them to a birthday cruise party :)

EDIT

oh sorry Kahli wont be coming unless i can get a lift

hey Kahli you got ya b day cruise on the 5th but were you born on the 5th of July?? :D

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Born_on_the_F...July_%28film%29

i got the same b day as jim carey in 23 scary stuff man feb 03 = 02/03 = 23 / by the square root of 10 and times by 434324324234 gives 23232323232323

sorry just thought id add to the dribble in here

Wouldn't it be cool if we got a police escort, and got the cops to tell the guys to piss off so they'd listen maybe.

But I still like the idea of if unwelcome guests come, slowly move onto the next spot (make sure they don't know the next spot) but all at different times. This way they might just think people are bailing.

I cant see how your going to tell ppl to go away when its a public place.

if that ute commo from the last cruise stoped next to me i was thinking of saying to him do you know the person running this cruise? and assuming he said no i was gonna say she dont like tag alongs and is likely to take your plate and give it to the cops if you keep following.

all in a polite subtle f off like mannor

surely they wouldnt push it after they hear something like that.

but yeah thought i better leave those antics to kellie seen as it was here cruise and there are some phyco's out there :D

If you wanna come then go if you dont just dont because this forum was to see whos going to the cruise not to have a bitch. Yeah prob my faught that everyone is complaining about o well. Having dickheads rock up is always a possiblilty on all cruises and same with the police.

I dont know what to say anymore.. for those who want to come you more than welcomed and i hope to see the people there who already said they'll come.

If you want to talk to me you pm me because im not in the mood for this. :D

    • Jdm DC2R is also nice for a FF car compared to the regular hatches of the time.
    • Now that the break-in period for both clutch and transmission is nearly over I'd like to give some tips before I forget about everything that happened, also for anyone searching up how to do this job in the future: You will need at least 6 ton jack stands at full extension. I would go as far as to say maybe consider 12 ton jack stands because the height of the transmission + the Harbor Freight hydraulic platform-style transmission jack was enough that it was an absolute PITA getting the transmission out from under the car and back in. The top edge of the bellhousing wants to contact the subframe and oil pan and if you're doing this on the floor forget about trying to lift this transmission off the ground and onto a transmission jack from under the car. Also do not try to use a scissor jack transmission lift. You have to rotate the damn thing in-place on the transmission jack which is hard enough with an adjustable platform and a transmission cradle that will mostly keep the transmission from rolling off the jack but on a scissor lift with a tiny non-adjustable platform? Forget it. Use penetrating oil on the driveshaft bolts. I highly recommend getting a thin 6 point combination (box end + open end) wrench for both the rear driveshaft and front driveshaft and a wrench extension. These bolts are on tight with very little space to work with and those two things together made a massive difference. Even a high torque impact wrench is just the wrong tool for the job here and didn't do what I needed it to do. If your starter bolts aren't seized in place for whatever reason you can in fact snake in a 3/8 inch ratchet + 6 point standard chrome socket up in there and "just" remove the bolts for the starter. Or at least I could. It is entirely by feel, you can barely fit it in, you can barely turn the stupid ratchet, but it is possible. Pull the front pipe/downpipe before you attempt to remove the transmission. In theory you don't have to, in practice just do it.  When pulling the transmission on the way out you don't have to undo all the bolts holding the rear driveshaft to the chassis like the center support bearing and the rear tunnel reinforcement bar but putting the transmission back in I highly recommend doing this because it will let you raise the transmission without constantly dealing with the driveshaft interfering in one way or another. I undid the bottom of the engine mount but I honestly don't know that it helped anything. If you do this make sure you put a towel on the back of the valve cover to keep the engine from smashing all the pipes on the firewall. Once the transmission has been pulled back far enough to clear the dowels you need to twist it in place clockwise if you're sitting behind the transmission. This will rotate the starter down towards the ground. The starter bump seems like it might clear if you twist the transmission the other way but it definitely won't. I have scraped the shit out of my transmission tunnel trying so learn from my mistake. You will need a center punch and an appropriate size drill bit and screw to pull the rear main seal. Then use vice grips and preferably a slide hammer attachment for those vice grips to yank the seal out. Do not let the drill or screw contact any part of the crank and clean the engine carefully after removing the seal to avoid getting metal fragments into the engine. I used a Slide Hammer and Bearing Puller Set, 5 Piece from Harbor Freight to pull the old pilot bearing. The "wet paper towel" trick sucked and just got dirty clutch water everywhere. Buy the tool or borrow it from a friend and save yourself the pain. It comes right out. Mine was very worn compared to the new one and it was starting to show cracks. Soak it in engine oil for a day in case yours has lost all of the oil to the plastic bag it comes in. You may be tempted to get the Nismo aftermarket pilot bearing but local mechanics have told me that they fail prematurely and if they do fail they do far more damage than a failed OEM pilot bushing. I mentioned this before but the Super Coppermix Twin clutch friction disks are in fact directional. The subtle coning of the fingers in both cases should be facing towards the center of the hub. So the coning on the rearmost disk closest to the pressure plate should go towards the engine, and the one closest to the flywheel should be flipped the other way. Otherwise when you torque down the pressure plate it will be warped and if you attempt to drive it like this it will make a very nasty grinding noise. Also, there is in fact an orientation to the washers for the pressure plate if you don't want to damage the anodizing. Rounded side of the washer faces the pressure plate. The flat side faces the bolt head. Pulling the transmission from the transfer case you need to be extremely careful with the shift cover plate. This part is discontinued. Try your best to avoid damaging the mating surfaces or breaking the pry points. I used a dead blow rubber hammer after removing the bolts to smack it sideways to slide it off the RTV the previous mechanic applied. I recommend using gasket dressing on the OEM paper gasket to try and keep the ATF from leaking out of that surface which seems to be a perpetual problem. Undoing the shifter rod end is an absolute PITA. Get a set of roll pin punches. Those are mandatory for this. Also I strongly, strongly recommend getting a palm nailer that will fit your roll pin punch. Also, put a clean (emphasis on clean) towel wrapped around the back end of the roll pin to keep it from shooting into the transfer case so you can spend a good hour or two with a magnet on a stick getting it out. Do not damage the shifter rod end either because those are discontinued as well. Do not use aftermarket flywheel bolts. Or if you do, make sure they are exactly the same dimensions as OEM before you go to install them. I have seen people mention that they got the wrong bolts and it meant having to do the job again. High torque impact wrench makes removal easy. I used some combination of a pry bar and flathead screwdriver to keep the flywheel from turning but consider just buying a proper flywheel lock instead. Just buy the OS Giken clutch alignment tool from RHDJapan. I hated the plastic alignment tool and you will never be confident this thing will work as intended. Don't forget to install the Nismo provided clutch fork boot. Otherwise it will make unearthly noises when you press the clutch pedal as it says on the little installation sheet in Japanese. Also, on both initial disassembly and assembly you must follow torque sequence for the pressure plate bolts. For some reason the Nismo directions tell you to put in the smaller 3 bolts last. I would not do this. Fully insert and thread those bolts to the end first, then tighten the other larger pressure plate bolts according to torque sequence. Then at the end you can also torque these 3 smaller bolts. Doing it the other way can cause these bolts to bind and the whole thing won't fit as it should. Hope this helps someone out there.
