Buying A Front Mount Intercooler

im guessing this has already been asked before, but ive noticed that new models are being released quite regularly

ive got roughly $600 - $700 (max) to spend on a front mount (not including installation) and not quite sure which brand to head towards

-ive looked at the cooling pro stealth series [$550(excluding delivery)] for a LEGAL option, but not too sure about the brand name, and the turbo lag from all the bends (is it really gonna be that bad?) And the look of one pipe coming down and around doesnt really give it that awesome front mount look

-ive also found a Trust - Greddy intercooler LS for $640 (delivered) which cuts through the firewall so ill be defectable (but atleast it looks mad and good brand)

any other good brands?? or good places to buy from??

Try one of those Hybrid GT spec ones...ive heard nothin but good things from them and im looking to get one soon coz the frount mount that came on my car is crap.

I think you mean cuts through the inner guard mate, not the firewall, unless you plan on having your intercooler piping running through the cabin

yea yea, sorry guys, im used to saying firewall coz i was just helping a mate do his sound system

and remeber no intercooler is legal as as far as the cops and epa are concerned, they alter emissions and so you need to be emmisions tested and also need an engineers certificate....

So basically no intercooler at all is going to get harrassed.

So I need to add the Engineers Cert Bill on top of the intercooler bill & even then I'll be sent to the EPA?

bit of a question for those in the know. with legality in mind, would a r34 sidemount be beneficial???

just curious to know because im also looking at a intercooler upgrade but dont want the harrasment
