Hi Guys,

I'm looking into organising a group buy for Muteki wheel/lug nuts.

I'm trying to get prices but it's proving difficult without given the stockists any kind of quantities.

Pics are below

If interested can you please let me know which type - Standard, Semi Extended, Extended and what colour? They have a slimmer diammeter than standard nuts so you no longer have to scrape the crap out your wheel getting them out. Also all nuts are a "lock" nut so to speak, as each will require the key that comes with them to remove them and out them on.

At this stage I want to see what interest we get in the next couple of weeks, and if there is enough to get a good price I'll run the group buy from around 01/07 to 20/07.

To make it worth while we would need around 25-30 orders.

I'm still trying to get a price indication and would post it up as soon as i get one, but indications are that they would be around the $60-$70 mark, with the semi and extended being slightly more expensive, and the Neo Chrome slightly more again.

Cheers

Bobby

what is the outer diameter?

Dimension measurements?

What shape is the Key?

What are they made of?

I'll update the first post as I get details, but can tell you

Made of Chrome Vanadium Steel - not alluminium.

From pics i have been given they seem narrower than the Rays which gives more clearance for putting on/taking them off.

how much thinner??

I need 17mm for my rims.... Be interested if they are indeed 17mm!!! 2 sets, one open one normal... both in black

Hey Anna,

I'm waiting on dimensions from the supplier, but I know in the US alot of people use them on all Japanese Wheels. Rays, Works, Nismo etc.

I'm very very interested ..

if u can give me the length of the standard one compare to extended, that would be good. also, can we get the blue ones in extended version? last, how heavy compare to alluminium ones? are they safe with the impact air tools?

Cheers

Not sure how heavy they are compared to alluminuim ones, but have been told the semi-extended lugs weigh 1.4oz each. I think a Rays one was aroun 0.8oz.

They told me I would get more info today so should hoepfully answer a few questions.

As for air tools, personally i wouldn't use them on any aftermarket wheel nuts. Rays nuts are $200 or so and an air tool would easily destroy them.

From what I've been told, you should always tighten wheel nuts by hand with a torque wrench, regardless of stock or aftermarket.

  • 2 weeks later...
WOuld be interested in black set if similar to above price

Appologies for the long delay all.

Have been advised that the standard Muteki nuts will be $55 delivered to me.

If you're in Sydney, happy to try and organise pick up, otherwise shipping will be at your expense.

Once i have some delivered I'll get shipping quotes to all captial cities, however I can't see them being too much.

The prices for the other styles should be available shortly.

Cheers

Bobby

    • Hey guys. I have a 400R on its way to Australia from Japan currently and have a few questions I’m hoping others may be able to help with.   Wondering if anyone here has had any luck getting the Sat nav unit to work in Australia!? Assuming the Stereo is as simple as a band expanded and tv won’t work?  Seeing as they’re based off a Q50 which is Aus delivered is there any way to link that system to the nav? Nav modules and head unit are different part numbers and appear slightly different at the rear with plug ins etc. can I put my xtrail sd card into the rv37 and will that convert the maps or update to Australian? Has anyone got any advice here?     also has anyone fitted the factory remote start and Security system once it’s landed in Australia? I put an enquirey to Nissan Japan in via a third party, and they suggested it needs a Nissan Japan dealers device to setup and couldn’t guarantee if one here could do it or not. They can supply and I can physically fit it but to setup I would need a dealers device. Any information here would be appreciated also. I’ve seen one here with it fitted already prior to leaving Japan at a dealer/inporter, so clearly passes compliance and works when fitted Japan and doesn’t need changing here.      also, does the tyre inflation sensors work here? Does anything change with them when the vehicle arrives? Where are they actually situated? I’ve read they have batteries and they need to changing at times and seems like resetting involves the nav system?    any help here would be appreciated and any other aust specific information to help would be great. Looking forward to see what the current generation skyline is like and eager to see how many of the gadgets can be utilised here.  Thanks in advance
    • Do need to take it with a pinch of salt. One of the adapter failures, they clearly had setup issues with the flywheel.  One of the slipping ones I spoke to and it was pretty clear the throwout was riding, rather than fix, just swapped to a new clutch.    These clutches are being put in anything from 5k offroad 4x4 beaters, GR yaris, 500hp commodores to 1200hp barra monsters. Bound to be some issues in some of them when they are not a simple bolt in affair due to the changes in height.    There is a lot going on in this picture and unless I did the job myself no way to tell what really happened.
    • I did this mod in 2019  You just have to modify the top bracket of the ABS/TC/Fuel Pump Control ECU so it sits more upright and closer to the back seat and run a good quality positive battery lead from the engine bay, the negative lead i just bolted down to the body in the boot.
