Same mph as when you were using C16?

Tell me you didn't tune the car for 98 octane pump fuel and then just dump in C16 for the drags last week.........................

car was tuned forc16 fuel last week and run 11.6 major traction issues, this week had couple of litres of c16 left in tank and filled up on premium unleaded, still major traction problems, but i think i can do a little beter with some more practice.

So you left the car tuned for C16 and ran it with a C16/Optimax mix?

At first I thought it's a little weird to get the same mph on C16 tune as you would on a much lower power 98 octane tune... But now I'm just flabbergasted that you'd run the car with Optimax on a C16 tune!!!

Yes cause u can run alot of timiming with c16 compared to 98 RON. It would have been pining its tits off on 98

Wreckedhead for someone that owns a 11 sec GTR u dont seem to actually know that much about the car or mechanics in general

With that mph, you are looking at an easy 11 at least...

As my ET's drop my MPH goes up! Usually it's the other way around. I'd say there's more MPH still in it, as the amount of wheel spin in the first 3 gears (especially 3rd) was enough to slow the car noticeably. This was evident by my earlier passes where similiar 60's and "more" w/spin lost MPH.

INASNT, for someone who asks a lot of mechanically related questions, I think the above statement is more than a little rude. Could be he's just had some bad advice or not made himself clear.

I dont think i ask alot of mechanically related question at all, and i do have a mech engineering degree and have been working as one for last 5 years.

Never the less u dont need to know anything about car to have a fast one, just $$..

hey inasnt, i know you think i might not know much about cars, i hope you didnt come to that conclusion just becasue im running premium with a c16 tune,

i might be a little neive but im not stupid when i had the tune done i made sure it wasnt tuned to its peak just incase of situations like these were i could run optimax or premium unleaded if C16 wasnt available, ( which it wasnt). so conclusion being, i ran 11.5 still with traction problems on prem unleaded, not at its maximum potential. :kick:
