ok. i've checked out both the original power graph and the new one. even on the old graph the car still wasn't running lean. i think its amazing that all you armchair mechanics can pass all these comments without even seeing the car or working on it to know what its doin and what power its making in relation to air/fuel and boost pressure. maybe you guys hould think less about how much boost pressure its making and be more concerned about the power output!!!!!

i have to agree with cooldude! how can you no what that particular engine needs from your computer seats?

Attack of the noobs. How many cars have you personally dyno tuned from base tune? FYI when you are tuning a car, you basically dont look at the power output, whatever it makes, it makes. If its down 50kw at the end, its either mechanical or the tune.

what exactly is a 'noob'? or are you just guessing that its a word just like you are guessing about what the tune for this car should be. its pretty easy for all you guys to hang shit on people for doing their job when its possible you wouldn't know one end of spanner from the other

i hope you have more then 700hp at the rear wheels?
.

yeah just a little under 900 at all four wheels and losing traction. how bout yourself? :)

oh and cooldude1000...the spanner you need at the momment is a size suitable for you.....6 millimeter au't to do it...it'll have to do cause i dont have one smaller that you can borrow. .........noob.

I know your a spanner.. does that count?

WHOW!! you should be really proud of yourself you actually no ther is a 6mill spanner nice work, you must be a mechanic i wouldnt hang shit for all you no he might be a dyno tuner!!!

Who cares if he is? I wouldn't take my car too him based on his comments below

Go look at the comments, and by whom they are posted. People with a substantial more than armchair experience.

Some have tuned cars with over 300rwkw from scratch, some full engine builds, some full engine conversions and so on.

If you try and say that first graph, the car isn't running lean with a AFR of 14.25:1, then you sir are an nothing more than a fool

Posts in this thread are about the poor AFR ratio and the average midrange that is associated with it, that is directly correlated to boost control issues or something else as it has a fairly wonky dip in there that should not be there.

lol

dear dick face look up what the stockometric air fuel ratio is for a stock engine is!! you must be the f**k wit that owns a black car that dosent show up particulate matter(hydrocarbons) which is unburnt fuel!!! all over you bumper bar.

its obvious that you want to be running a richer than stoich when your producing bulk power but the numbers these guys are talking about are ridiculous. these guys still need to find out what the stoich afr is and then go and re-check your figures and then maybe you can pull your dicks out of each others asses finally

This thread has become immensely entertaining :)

These are my fav bits... completely nonsensical...

Really, the best bit, is one guy with 3 posts, agreeing with another 3 poster... both of which joined 1 day apart... *cough* IP check

i have to agree with cooldude!

cooldude/paintman... Why do you feel the need to make personal attacks?

Peak torque is made as the afr's spike to 14:1. Not good.

Simple as that.

So pull your head in and discuss not attack.

    • Thanks for that Paul.  Do you think if I posted a picture you'd be able to remember where it went?
    • Sorry Duncan, I didn't get a notification for the replies.  Thanks for responding!  It's a full Android device, but does allow you to use CarPlay/AA as well.  This is the one I bought from NaviRS on AliExpress: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005006368602668.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.order_list_main.111.59aa1802JDzQ0E - the 2K 8G-256G CAM variant but it seems to have gone up by £170 since I bought it!  My purchase was £307.14.   It's not the fastest thing in the world but performs perfectly adequately.  It stays on standby unless I disconnect the battery and let it power down, then it's just a fairly standard Android bootup time from cold.  The DSP Equaliser is very nice and made the standard stereo system sound pretty decent compared to the stock screen.  Perhaps I can take a video of it when I get a sec. It *allegedly* supports the reverse camera, but I'm yet to get that working.  It has options for reverse cam (a camera unit can be bought separately) or 360 cameras (also bought separately).  To be fair it doesn't seem to detect that the shifter was put into reverse but I'm working on a theory about this as well.  At the moment I'm going without which is a bit annoying considering the car is an absolute canal barge but so far I haven't caused any damage I'll grab a picture of the wire I'm missing later today when I can get outside.  My theory, by the by, is that not only is the head unit different, but the CANBUS network has different signals for the different years.  I think this because I have a spare AC panel from a newer Infiniti G37 (as opposed to my Nissan panel) which wouldn't control anything except the volume when I had it wired up with the stock system.  I'm going to throw it back in and see if the screen will respond to it.  I've just ordered an arduino CANBUS module so I can have a look at the signals going around the car and see if I can spot anything.  I'm thinking if I can work out what it's expecting vs what it's getting I might be able to translate and relay the signal back but so far just a theory anyway. I also found this on my travels, so far the only one that specifically matches my car: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005002822934280.html?spm=a2g0s.imconversation.0.0.33433e5fgttovi If you look at the picture of the before, it has the card reader slot, and the picture of the head unit is exactly the same as the one pictured in my original post.  I asked if they sell the cables separately but sadly they won't.  I didn't want to just buy this one because it's a super old Android version and only dual core - likely slow as hell.
    • As above, you did refill the coolant and burp the system before running it again didn't you?
    • To be fair - you see the same thing for every clutch. There's always someone making an installation error.
    • Just saw this, redacted names. It's on a R33 GTS-t Facebook group. Looks like still teething issues.
