18 X 10 +18 Work Xd9s Gtr R33

Im getting some Work XD9s 18 x 10 +18 for my GTR 33.

But im unsure what size tyres to run all round.

I can get a good price on a set of 255s.

Would these fit ?

To small?

What are you running.

probably a bit narrow unless you like the stretched look- try 265/35/18 or a 275 if you really want to.

I have these rims and even with 265s they are slightly stretched no rim protection thats for sure i will take a pic soon and post it up for you.

255's are fine, more common size, will be a good fit, not really stretched, just a slightly angled sidewall.

255's on a 10" is hardly stretched though, a lot of people run 235's on 10" rims with ease.

I dunno about that Stewy, look at the 265s on a 10" wheel; that's what I'd consider a slight stretch.

Imagine 235s, that would be ridiculous!

I'm in the exact same situation, I've got 10" wide XD9s and I need rubber but I'm thinking I'd rather pay that little bit extra to get some rubber protecting the rim lip.

i ran 225/45's on 17x9.5's regularly, and that was with rims with shit bead seats (hard to bead) and run flat tyres (hard sidewall, very hard to bead). 225 on a 9.5" is equivalent to a 235 on a 10". im running 215's on my 17x9's atm and once again, equivalent to a 235 on a 10".

i guess it all depends on each persons opinion on what they define as stretch, but a 255 on a 10" certainly isnt an unsafe stretch, in fact its within the recommended sizes for a 10" rim from the manufacturer.

i'd run 235 by 40... heaps cheaper and will allow you to by better tyres for more grip... 235 is flush on 9" rims so on the 10" is slighty stretched... i've seem 235 on 11's driven every day... if your worried about rim protection buy 16s with heaps of rubber and stop hittin gutters when you park...

I have XD9's with 275/35/18 Tyres

I have and R32 and it all fits fine with no rubbing/problems at all.
