Found a large 3" in/out cat converter on ebay for $103usd delivered

Random Technology 7000-series

said to flow at around 617cfm

round, with a metal matrix inside similar to metalcat, etc

http://www.randomtechnology.com

anyone used one before, or heard of them?

Im hoping this will account and fix the boost pressure drop Ive still got. 1 bar down to 12psi, even with a free flow muffler and hks heavy duty actuator. pretty sure the basic hiflow cat Ive got is only a 200-250cfm item

In your opinions, this'd fix the boost drop right?

Just jap 3" dump, big arsed cat, Kakimoto racing GTR muffler

Will weld on, and retune the ecu mapped chip via the safc, sitc and fuel pressure regulator. Tuner yesterday said get rid of the boost drop and easy 200kw tune, no probs.

Hopefully...............

Does it matter? All they do is use a temp gauge to make sure its hotter than the actual exhaust if they check, BTW Im pretty sure US regulations are alot harder than ours. I think its more focused towards safety though.

Had it welded on today to the cat-sensor & flanges.

so much more free-flowing, the turbo spools up and just pulls harder

even off boost the engine is more responsive, hence when it comes on, oh yeah ..... !

free-reving, on rpm die down the exhaust pops and crackles beautifully !!!

very happy

:D

now to touch up the safc/sitc for the remapped ecu from Toshi, and the Stagea will be sweet - easy 200awkw

Ha safety!!!

Their laws are strictly emissions

you can drive around in a car without doors, fenders, on space saver tyres, with no windows etc as long as you pass emissions!

i have some crazy photos of cars i've seen over there with hardly a panel on them! no boot no bonnet something resembling a door, but it had its sticker to say it was emissions passed!
