On my 33 GTS25t I've got a set of White Enkei's in 17x9JJ38 (Rear) and 17x8JJ38 (Front) and they fill almost perfectly! My car is pretty low though too.

I think to fill it just a little better, I'd go half a size up on both the front and the rear, but I think the back would probably need flaring if that was the case. :D

Nice Rims, Thanks for the suggestion.

Looks like not many people have wide wheels on their R33's

17x8 and 17x9 (gtr offset and size) fit your R33 perfectly

but wouldnt those sizes be illegal? on the RTA website it says you can go 1" wider and 2" bigger from stock. So the R33 GTST wheels are stock 16x6.5? meaning legally you can only go 18x7.5?

I think the wheel restictions for S.A. are that the diameter cant be greater than 15mm from the largest tyresize listed on the tyre placard and that the offset of the rim does not vary by more than 13mm from the original rim.

You want the "JDM look" but you don't want to flare the guards? To fit some decent wheels you'll need to flare the rears at least a little.

Don't be weak, if your going 17" go 17x9" +17 front and rear. Will fit with ease with stretched tyres and rolled gaurds and a light flare on the rear.

dude if u want the jdm style get 18's but if ya bit tight go with 17's!

in my opinon 18's are the best size for most imports they just suit the car more! you just dont wanna go over board with some 20's!

remember guys it's just my opinon lol

Mate, what suspension setup do you have? That is EXACTLY the ride height I want to have on my 33. Does that clear the legal height limits? Looks fantastic. Well done.

define "jdm" look.

i was running -6 rear and -4 front 17x9 with 215 tires for awhile. got sick of pizza cutter tires, now im +10 17x9 with a 255 tire, all 4 fenders rolled.

youre not going to get the "jdm" look without rolling your fenders. people here do it for 40 bucks a fender with the rolling tool and a heat gun

Hey guys,

I found this googeling around and you can compare the stats of the new wheels you want to put on with the ones you have atm and it tells you how many mm of clearance is taken or given

Enjoy !

    • Hey all, I did a voltage test with the car (video attached) not running for 3 days. And here is some interesting stuff: - Battery voltage is 12v (I had the key in the ON position) - Drops to 9.76v while cranking then quickly goes up to 14.5v - You will notice there was a sorta slow start but not as slow as it usually is. - Idle surprisingly was better at just over 1,000rpm instead of 1,100 rpm. - I turned on the A/C, radio and headlights in the video and the voltage remains the same - I haven't cleaned the grounding wires on the chassis yet, that's next. - Battery drops to 12.6v when I turn off the car and wait a bit Seems like I might have a parasitic draw? I do have an immobiliser system which does drain the battery more of course but was wondering if there is anything else I should be looking at fixing? Does the ground wires on the chassis have anything to do with the low 12v?
    • My lord that is some low oil pressure as minimum in the manual! I guess the big part will be seeing how it changes as the engine gets more spirited use.
    • Turbotapin   so I am about to be mounting mine up been waiting for the body to get finish at paint. I had a question. I was told our Speedo sensor it originally in the transmission but the cd009 is in the diff on the z. How did you get around this?
    • I definitely do recommend having a fab/grinding/dirty shed or area to keep all that grinding dust out of your main shed.  But you're right, it doesn't matter how much room you have you still end up filling it! I might even do a short video which will make it easier to fully take in the horrors of what I've created...
