no matter how cold u set the air throught the vents its allways hot, even with aircon on

i have done a engine and dash swap over so I duno what I would of missed to cause this to happen, its only done it since the swap. If someone could point me in the right direction that would be good cos im forced to drive with window down to keep the car cool even with the air off, heat still leaks through the air vents

Run your climate control through the diagnostic in the tutorial section thread. It'll tell you what's wrong with your system, but at first guess, I'm gonna say that you forgot to plug in a temperature sensor.

Hah. There is a tube that screws into the plastic surround for the DIN slots on your centre console. It attaches behind a little grille bit just up and to the right of the gear stick. That's a temp sensor. Check that one out, I reckon you either haven't hooked that up or it's not there at all.

The sensor mentioned above (the one just to the right of the gear stick behind the little slits) is the one that was not connected in my car, and I had the same problems as you (hot all the time). I reconnected mine and walah, the aircon works, and I no longer need to press the recirculate button to stop hot air pouring into the cabin all the time.

Dig up of an old thread.

I have had the same problem ever since I did my first engine. Now in the current setup I have removed the aircon completely.

How do I bypass these plugs so that the heater stops blowing hot air into the cabin?
