To be honest ive never reali heard of them.

Anybody used them? Or had any experiance with them?

i got the same tyres on my rims but in 235/40/18.

They are good for what i think, havent tested them on the track yet but i'll have to see how they go.

would rate 8/10 in the dry and 7.5/10 in the wet.

next option would be the new toyo r1r's or the toyo proxes 4.

Get the HTR-ZIII if u can...they are the latest model and I've had them on my V35 for 2 months now...awesome tire in the wet and dry. There is also a very good review of them on tirerack in the US where it beats the yokos and bridgestone potenzas in a few categories...

I have just had fitted today some HTR-ZII in 235/45/17's. Will give them a couple of weeks then I will post my thoughts but first impressions is that they are very quite compaired to the Dunlop DZ 101's that they replaced, even on the rough bitumen. The guy at the tyre shop recommended them, he said that they are now made by Dunlop in Japan, they were on special at $165 each.

  • 4 weeks later...

Well guys I've had them on now for a couple of weeks have found them to be very good in both wet & dry weather. Have had a couple of wet nights after training so I decided to test them out on some of the bends that I go hard thru in the dry & the grip was just the same, they get of the line realy good no wheel slip, only a slight squrm on the gear change fron 1st to 2nd (was giving it a -bit). I would rate them out of 10 a 7.5-8. Very happy with my purchase.

Cheers

    • That's a solid update mate, well done at WA FOS. You may already know this, but the actuators on the paddle shift are a service item and are sadly not that reliable. As I understand it they collect water from the compressor (condensation) which then rusts the bores/pistons in the actuators. A mate of mine had no end of trouble with them in one if his circuit cars, apparently it's a 'known issue'. Buy a couple of spares at great expense to ensure you never have any problems with the ones you've got! Any clues about what the new WTAC rules might be? While faster cars are cool the Pro class arms race has got to the point where you wouldn't even bother entering without a $1m budget and even then I don't think you'd win.

You can see another picture of it here: https://www.alltranz.com.au/shop/drivetrain/automatic-transmission/RE5R01A/product/9305/ The 4 speed automatic in the GTT is Nissan corporate stuff. You can search up similar jobs done on a Frontier or Pathfinder with a RE4R01B to get an idea for what the internals are going to look like and the procedure like this:
