Hi all,

I've searched for about 2 weeks now and I can't find anything in relation to my problem,

Basically when the turbo is cold it makes a slight screach at boost, but once the car has been at boost for about 15 seconds in total the screach goes away and its just the normal turbo whistle.

I was just wondering if I should be worried and searching for a new one?

Thanks,

gerneraly from my exsperience if it is like a high pitch sound it is air leaking through somewhere like your bov or something ..but if it is more of a howling sound it might be your compressor wheel scuffing against the housing.

Well I don't mean full on boost but I can hear it spooling loudly.

Exhaust gasket ey, might be time for a new one and some extractors to go with it. Cheers Dano, Thanks everyone, I'll sleep a bit easier tonight :D

Sorry to post on this old thread, but just to help anyone who may some across the same problem.

The whole exhaust was checked, no problems were found.

My stock BOV is faulty and could have been the problem.

Since then I have installed a big FMIC and pod filter. The induction/turbo whistle is so loud that any problems with the turbo would be very obvious, the only weird noises are just from the faulty BOV which is soon to be replaced with a stock GTR BOV.
