Car Problems? (weird Sounds)

Hey guys,

There is a weird ringing noise coming from the back tires(pretty sure) everytime i take the car out ('93 R33 GT)

It kinda stops everytime i hit the breaks. I think its the breakes but was just wondering wether could be smth else and how would i fix it.

Do i need to take out the tires n tighten the calipers?(if coulprit are the breakes)

Not too sure what the problem is as this is my first car and its kinda driving me mad.

Maybe brake pads are worn out. There is a piece of metal that seats on the pad itself. Once the pads are thin, it will rub against your disc rotor making a very loud metal to metal sound.

The break pads are new though, and it only rings when im not steping on the breaks. ><
