I bought everything.. in some days I will finish my project but I see that I don't have any blow off valve!!

First of all... do you think that it is necessary for my setup?

In my previous engine I didn't have any problem (ca18det GT28R 20psi 350hp).

And if it is necessary which do you suggest me?

I will not run it higher than 27psi..

I like SARD R2D2 bov but it will work in an engine like mine?

Maybe Sard racing bov is better?

They selling this for HIGH boost aplication they said..

- High Endurance Valve Type

- Eliminate Air Leak At High Boost

- Super Hi-Response

- Easy Valve Spring Load Adjustment

But tell me for what ever bov's you use :P

I have a greddy type R and it's the only one I would reccomend (other than stock GTR's). Mine is also tightened down to the point where it only really blows off when I get up above 1.3-1.5 bar'ish. I like the flutter noise. I reminds me that I don't have a gay HKS SSQV limiting me to 1 bar of boost. I always get a kick out of some goober with a stock turbined R33 telling me I should get a BOV, and than opening the hood for them :P

yep, Greddy Type R is the way to go. It will easily bypass enough air for your turbo and boost level. and they are easily plumbed back in to the inlet or if you want they sell trumpet attachements too so you can vent it to atmosphere.

the sard R2D2 is like a toy BOV, mostly plastic. sard racing is better, but the trust Type R is better again, much bigger surface area means it can flow much more air.

trust type r here, i have the heavy spring in it and it never seems to open even on the softest setting, im running 18psi and 560hp at wheels at moment with a t04z

Agreed. The cost too atm, makes it a no brainer.

Hooking the OEM GTR ones up, takes up a lot of room unfortunately.

I got a type r for my setup it was easier to plumb in instead of the standard gtr items...I dont want to get into a debate about the no bov situation but you are seriously hurting your turbo and engine by not using one..

...its a high mount fellas... gtr bov's dont like not being plumbed back they open and shut all the time

No debate, they need to be plumbed back, but how does the turbos positioning effect it?:)

An example that comes to mind is a famous dark metallic blue Perth 10sec BNR32 with a Z and OEM BOV's.

sure standard GTR is great but I would think if he's put an RB26 into an S13 the standard S13 BOV will be useless and the GTR bov is probably still with the car the engine came out of... also in an S13 it will be a bit of a hassle to mount the stock twin BOVs and their associated plumbing. so I would say in this case Trust Type R is the best and easiest way to go.

I don't have the stock gtr bov's and I cannot find any here in Greece!

Also stock are ugly and difficult to fit as I see some fotos.

Instead to pay for the stocks better to buy a Greddy!

I will go for Greddy Type R!

With strong spring or with standar?

I am not sure if it is better to return the air in the pipe between the turbo and mafs or vent it to the air.
