Anyone have any experience with this ?

I collected some data from my datalogit and found a dyno run, I found that both knock sensor read outs were different....

Knock sensor 1 and knock sensor 2 were like 20knock out from each other and one spikes to 100 and the other only goes to 60ish

I know on high powered RB's the knock sensors become un-reliable.. We cannot hear any pinging or detonation while running on the dyno.

I want to buy Gizzmo KMON but cannot afford it till next month i dont think....

Can anyone say whats going on here? or should i just forget about these readings alltogether? this run made over 350kw at the wheels.

My cents are, they're prolly old sensors, as they're both the same rough shape, just 2 is more exaggerate (vice versa)

Though to diagnose, assuming sensor 2 is at the back; could you trim / richen up the last 3 cyls to check for an effect on knock?

hey Anthony,

Try swapping the sensors or just the cables around and see what happens... It may be that one of the sensors has lost some sensitivity

..I've got a couple of of stock RB25DET knock sensors sitting on the shelf ...you can borrow them for a while of you want...
