exactly correct. it doesnt compensate for the rear license plate. they should make one for behind as well. Furthermore what happens if ur on a freeway??? or worse if cops chase u then check it out???? there should be a switch inside the cabin that locks (both rear and back) plates down so that u can say "...nah its always down...maybe u should get ur eyes checked out officer."

traffic cops would notice that ur plate was not showing if they passed u (coming from the opposite direction). Its their job, they do it everyday. I had a cop turn around n pull me over once just for having two rego stickers on my windscreen (old and new) I have no idea how they spot that so quickly

It would be good for some late night cruises though, providing there was a way to lock it in place for general day to day driving

I drove around without a front plate for a while - ie. my bar was being fitted with a bracket and the other time some knobs stole the screws (!!!) in plate and I couldn't be farked going to the hardware store to buy some. The cops who saw me glared at me but they like couldn't be farked pulling me over.

Perhaps they were low on doughnuts...
