Nissan Sports Car spectacular to be held at Qld Raceway (Willowbank) - July 8

Specialist car racing will have a new face when the first annual Time Attack Nissan Meeting hits Qld Raceway on Tuesday, July 8. Nissan Sports Car owners from around the Southeast will be pitted against each other in a race against the clock to determine who is Queensland's fastest Nissan driver.

Sponsored by NISMO, Motul Oil and BMC Air Filters, this promises to be a great event with side attractions including: demo cars, a dyno competition, motorkhana (race around the cones), a D.J. and a host of exciting giveaways.

In preparation for the event, NISMO representative and event coordinator Chika Sakane, said the event will showcase the great diversity that motorsports has in Queensland and provide a new forum to demonstrate the true strength of Nissan sports cars.

"Nissans are some of the most impressive sports cars in the market today but they are often limited to simply being daily drivers," said Ms Sakane. "This event gives Nissan drivers the opportunity to really blow the cobwebs out of their performance vehicles in a fun and safe environment."

Entrance to this great new event is absolutely FREE.

For Nissan owners, racing costs $110 but places are filling fast, so book now. Visit www.timeattack.com.au for details or ring Link International on (07) 3382 5000.

This event is booked out morning and afternoon. Make sure you get out there at 1pm for the festivities.

Thanks to everyone who has booked in and volunteered their time to come and help.

See you there.

Paul

Good on you for putting it on Paul, should be a great success.

This was the best track day I have attended to date. total carnival atmosphere And a yard full of nissan performance cars made for the most fun I've had in ages.

skidpan, drift demo's, dyno, BBQ lunch, Display cars including the 35 gtr, Thrills and spills on a wet to semi dry track And a heap of drivers and spectators made a potpouri of sight and sound to be remembered.

Another evo bit the dust hard, straight in to the wall at some scarey speed. Driver went for treatment but he's fine. The car is a mess. I be thinking the evo boys rely too heavily on the electronic gadgetry for their own good. This year alone I have seen several of them come to grief.

To Paul Ruzic, The M&M's from signature performance. and Link international, Congratulations on a well concieved and well run and well attended event. I am already looking forward to the next one. :P:down:

here here

edit: Russ was flying in the R35 GTR, those monster brakes in that heavy R35 outperformed all the performance R32, R33, R34 GTRs on track at the same time! Happy to see it out there in anger. Love the gearchanges on it, mental.

awesome!

any pics lol?

Thanks everyone who came out and supported the day. It went really well and we saw some great action on and off the track. Special thanks to Russ and Mark for bringing out their R35 GTR, the pit wall was chocked as it lapped the sprint track.

Signature Performance brought out their dyno and the competition was good, with a Twin Turbo V8 Supra taking top power for the day.

The SAU Club QLD fed the masses with the BBQ.

Thanks again to the sponsors, MOTUL, BMC AIR FILTERS, NISMO for making the event possible.
