Hi everyone!

I am from the Australian supra forum and i thought i'd give you guys a visit. I am corrently running a group buy for leatherette seat covers for all the supra owners around Australia and i figured why not get the Nissan owners involved.

So, here is some information about this product.

Leatherette is not comparable to cheaper Vinyl products on the market which are of a plastic like appearance & do not offer the same durability. This product uses the best quality of Leatherette available on the market, which is Nylex and imported from Germany

These products are not slip on seat covers. These replace your existing seat overs and give it a very professional finish.

These Leatherette seat covers are available for

Nissan Silvia 180SX / S13, S14, S15, 200SX

Nissan 300ZX, Skyline R32, R33, R34

Nissan Maxima, Frontier, Pathfinder, Patrol, X-Trail

So here are the prices:

If you want a complete set, this means front and rear seats you are looking at $470 + $25 postage and handling.

If you don't care about how your back seats look and feel you are able to chose only front seats which will add up to

If you are interested and want to upgrade your seats to make them look super sexy send me a private message or show interest on this thread and i'll send you a private message. I will take your orders, i will help you chose colors if you are finding it difficult and make sure you get what you've paid for in the end.

Feel free to visit our supra site and read our discussions on this product on:

I have seen the R33 done and its quite good.

They are fitted and shit loads better than the otehr ones I have seen. They take some time to fit as they are a direct replacement to your origional covers...its a DIY job but comes up nice.

Thanks for your comment. I'm new to this forum, i'm actually a supra owner so i don't know anyone yet or my way around this forum:P so any help would be really appretiated! Thanks guys.

lol max from symrna.. can't get cheaper in a gb?

you can get directly from him for that price.. might as well go directly through him.. great guy.. i got my seats through him... they are good

I've seen these leatherette seat covers on ebay before and thought they looked good but the whole idea of having to remove the factory covers seems a bit unsettling as I don't think the factory covers are that easy to remove.

So I'm guessing you'd need to rip them apart ? Has anyone here done it ? What does it entail .. ? I'm assuming at the very least you need to completely remove all the seats out of the car How long does it take approx ?

I'm not sure how many people have done it on the skylines. Many people have done it on supras and it comes out looks fantastic. Yeah you would need to take your seats off. This is what the supplier says about fitting:

Seat covers are fitted once existing covers have been removed with full DIY 'step by step' Installation Guide with instructions provided, including over 150 photographs to help guide the buyer. The application process is really user friendly, it can easily be completed in a day with no special expertise or tools required.

does that answer your question?

yeah thanks. Since it says 'completed in a day' I would probably need 2-3 days heh.

Does anyone know of any similar leatherette+fabric type of seats where the sitting surface isn't leather but rather a heavyduty fabric of some sort. I don't like sitting on leather but I've seen some fantastic seats before where the middle section of the seats (where you sit) is a woven heavyduty fibre of some sort and the rest is leather.

I'm not too sure where you might be able to find something like that. Umm have a look around on ebay you might find something good:)

they wrap around your seats.. you don't need to take apart the original stitching... they are good.. and comfy.. yeah i had R8 seats that had that material in the middle and leather on the outside..

i don't know whether max can get the same thing but i know that ultimate auto trim sell perforated material they can put in the middle.. have been a few GB on SAU for these ones as i know his seats are quite a bit more.. prob the way to go.. if not ask them.. you'll be suprised on what symrna can do.. said they can do real leather too

These look simple to install & very cheap! Just a question though, do they fit tightly around the existing seat? Also what's the quality like? :whistling:

From what i've seen on pictures and real life they fit beautifully. Thats why i want them so much. These seats are designed to fit exactly like your factory seats, just in leatherette.

I've attached some pictures from one of the supra members. see if you guys like how it turned out.

Did some research on the material :

Leatherette is a form of artificial leather, usually made by covering a fabric base with plastic. The fabric can be made of a natural or a synthetic fibre which is then covered with a soft PVC layer.

Leatherette bound books and 20th century cameras are good examples of leatherette. Leatherette clothing of various kinds (including lingeries) also exist.

A disadvantage of plastic "leatherette" is that it is not porous and does not allow air to pass through it, thus sweat can accumulate if it is used for clothing, car seat coverings, etc. However, one of its primary advantages, especially in cars, is that it requires little maintenance in comparison to leather and does not crack or fade as easily.

During a fire, leatherette may cause additional serious skin damage because it not only burns more vigorously than leather, but can also melt.
