Can someone have a look at the video below and tell me what's going on I believe the piston rings may be gone or something else. In the video there is epic smoke coming from the exhaust when I step on the accelerator and smoke coming from the oil catch can.

Car: R33 GTS-T Series 1

Any help would be appreciated :miner:

Yea there has to be a problem because the ECU is a microtech and the answer for a problem is add more fuel but yea as for the catch can thats all it does is smoke and i dont want to run the car for to long in case a build up occurs and does more damage and its directly connected to the blow by hose using a t-connector thats the only line for the moroso catch can.

it could be your turbo my stagea dose the same thing took oil cap off and was smoken realy bad its being fixed atm and the turbos stufed.

you could take your air filter of and look down pipe to see if any oil down there, and maybe your cooler two.

thats if its even the turbo.

the rules for exhuast smoke are

black- too much fuel

blue- oil

white- coolant

so if you have a turbo problem it will most likely be your turbine wheel. but it is definatly fuelling up big time

Burnt oil is blue smoke, unburnt oil is black. So if the turbo's got a bung seal and its spewing fresh oil into the exhaust side, it'll look black.

  • 5 weeks later...

ur problem is a piston problem..... i had the same problem when i got high boost white smoke out exhaust...... opened dipstick and oil cap and smoke coming out....... one or more of your pistons has fkt up and thats whats causing it....... and the oil in the cooler piping isnt the turbo its the crack in the piston rings allowing oil to drip down into where exhause fumes are and spraying out ur turbo....... Mine got that bad that instead of my Blitz BOV release pressured air was releasing oil haha.... your looking at engine re-co if you get it done get forgies too extra 300-400 and well worth it
