They can be had for... nah, i shouldnt say what is easily researchable.

Thats all i have to say apart from the fact im lining one up myself for the next private import.

No red tape that way.

Peace.

Your next? How about you worry about completing the import of your Forester before you start thinking about playing in the big league.

If youre telling the truth, its daylight robbery...

I go through all the shit of bringing the car in over the course of a year and someone thinks that because its the GTR, they can add 15k to their asking price despite the fact their job isnt any bloody different.

Makes my blood boil.

*waits for inevitable industry related backlashes*

The costs associated with importing, testing and gaining approval for the R35 GT-R are high. Any entity going into this will have significant outlay which they will only have limited means to recover. The importation and selling of these cars is a risky business venture.

Factoring costs of acquiring the test vehicle, test costs, fees etc and then factor in that you can only do 25 of them and even then there is a small number of guys willing to pay top dollar for a grey import vs. waiting for Nissan to bring them in and you quickly see why compliance needs to be $20k for it to even be a worthwhile investment. Will 25 per workshop even sell? Time will tell.
