Need Cheap Rwc! Melbourne!

I have sold my commodore.....need to get a rwc in melbourne (I live in Peston Northcote area) thats cheap. i got a quote they want freakin $1500.

The guys iv got a quote from seem to be TOO quickly...

do you need to get it for the como or for something else?

what was the reason it was $1500? things need fixing? not many places will risk their license if the car is obviously unroadworthy. I had to get a wrc and while i was there a guy comes in, in a beat up como and expected to just hand over money and get a cert without an inspection. the mech flatly refused his money and told him to go somewhere else.

Well a RWC costs $77 incl GST for most places.

$1500 would be for repairs, which you probably need and will have to spend either way

There is a little bit needed for the RWC. But the guy i took it to was too picky said a couple other mechanic when I told them that they wanted to charge me $1500.

Just wanted to know if there is someone out there who will let go all the minor things.

well no, there arent many 'lenient' places these days.

About 12-18months ago there was a massive crack down campaign, maybe 18-24, cant remember, while ago anyhow.

And a number of places lost licences.
