1st and last meet for me last time, pretty boring experience...

for some reason I thought it would have been more exciting than a bunch of kiddies in borrowed cars with P plates all over them.

Then some stupid wnker in a UTE did a fishy and nearly slammed into my car, morons....

and for some reason, I thought it would be like AutoSalon LOL

lol... this thread and the people getting done remind of the simpsons episode where lisa is comparing Bart to a Hamster.

bart with the cupcake = you people that go to hektik hangouts.

and the organisers..

Fast and furious is over.. stop trying to re-live it with mad meetups with promo chicks bro.

what was the whole point of it anyway?

modified cars, park at a car park, people hang around trying to fit the image..

So it really "IS" about how you stand next to your car???

**********EDITED by moderators and user warned.

Funny how they let the cars into the country and comply them with no pod filter encloser.

But then on the road it attracts a defect take that to court and use it!!!!!!!!

They don't. No car can be complied with a pod filter unless it comes standard from the factory like that. I don't know any cars built like that.

If any car was complied with pod filters, it was a dodgy compliance and you would just be digging your own grave.

Most FULL HEKTIK SICK cars you see being brought in, are taken back completely to standard, complied, then all the modified gear is put back in. A good friend of mine went through this for en ex drift twin turbo supra.

My favourite call.

Wankers with "sex spec" cars, and skanks.

What's the difference between that and Auto Salon, aside from the fact that one's inside a building?

i went to one of these things last year, it was for that ignition dvd people. the reason that i wanted to go

was i thought it would be a good night to kinda chill n browse around and have a look and check out other

ppls cars n mods they have done etc, in an appreciative way. this one was also located in a homebush

carpark, and guess what happened? first of all everyone was confused because of a late change of

carparks, and then when you actually got to the carpark, you couldnt get out. then some tools broke

one of the boom gates so the next thing the rangers are there, and then who next? every highway

patrol car you could imagine! i'd never been to one of these events before, i just like modifying cars

and appreciate other peoples cars. anyways just wanted to let u know my past experience.

i also agree though that these things should be held at a location like WSID, as stated has a huge carpark,

and really is a more suited location then some carpark in homebush....

just my 2 cents :D

Renting WSID would probably cost money. They just randomly show up to a carpark for free and put it on, since they're not charging admission.

They probably got kicked out of Reading Cinemas in Auburn for the shenanigans last time.

at reading cinemas it was that guy who owned the gold s2000 the last time that had cop trouble when he tried to hit VTEC YO in front of the cops and then they only have him a warning they should have fined and defected his a** for trying to look like a sik K*** in front of all the chics....

He was, apparently, after "some love". I'm just scared about what the child of a person who thinks its good to free-rev an engine to a 9000RPM limiter breeding with a chick that finds that kind of thing alluring would be like.

Anyway, you can read all about it here if you want. I'll leave for you to decide what you think of the guy after reading his motivations for doing it were, and how he responds to others for calling him out on doing it.

My god... No offense, but they sound like a bunch of 15 year old girls...

"Hater!"

"Bitch!"

"Hater! Not gettin enough loove!"

"No you're the hater!"

Oh and I love this one: "Felt like i was on the set of 4 fast, 4 furious"...

Agree completely with your post in there though alan!

Yeah i was pretty much there , Lucky this guy came next to me and said to do a U Turn theres cops everywere , i done a U Turn on my way out seen cops everywere lucky i got out , Ended up cruising With a Blue 200 , White Evo, and a Yellow GTT , Anyone here ????

Yea that was my mates and i, i was in the silver R32 GTR , i got caught up as an undercover was following, i lost u guys as i was exiting

homebush as i was leaving to catch up with my mates the police were following too, soo i just went my own way and headed home

we usually go to these events just to catch up and hang out with friends, never seen anything like that before with the police being there

that was a first timer for that ever happening.

    • how do you know voltage is fine?  quick easy test is connect DMM up and put it on max/min mode, remove fuel pump fuse, crank car for 3-5s, go check min voltage You'd be surprised how many "healthy" batteries are showing under 10v during this test in cold weather.
    • Not properly. You need to be able to dissipate 100 amps or so to doing it meaningfully. You can do it indirectly by watching to see how far the voltage falls during cranking. Unplug the coils or something else to prevent it from starting so you can get a good couple or three chugs. It also helps if you have the multimeter set up reading before you start, and that it has max/min functions. So you can catch the real minimum without having to watch the screen, which often doesn't update fast enough to show the real max/min in dynamic situations. Or use a digital oscilloscope, which can be obtained for <<$100 from Aliexpress (although I'd argue for paying up to ~$200 for a nicer one). A >4 yr old battery will very likely be well down the path to the knackery. Many only last 5-6 years these days. The cold weather lately will definitely make it worse.
    • Hmmm, what do you mean by getting weaker? And where did you get that test done? I've been wondering about my battery because the cold starts crank super slowly. The voltage is fine. Not sure if cranking amps can be checked at home. Battery is 4+ years old.
    • No. The simplest wastegate hookup, with no solenoid or other form of "boost control" (ie, control over your boost control, if you know what I mean) is a single hose, direct from the turbo outlet/hot pipe, straight and only to the wastegate actuator. It is that pressure signal that drives the wastegate to open, providing the boost control (and by "boost control" here, I mean, limiting how high it can go, which is essentially the spring pressure of the actuator). You only end up with tee pieces and alternate flow paths once you start adding things to the boost control system to allow you to determine how much of that boost signal makes it to the actuator. There are so many ways to do that that there is no single way to run the hoses and tees and the like. If you have a stock boost solenoid, then all it does is either allow all the boost signal to go to the actuator, or open up to allow some of it to bleed off. There needs to be a restriction in that bleeder to allow only a small amount to bleed off. And in a stock system, that would then be plumbed back to the turbo inlet (for "emissions control" reasons). That is actually what that nipple on your BOV return pipe could/would be for. If you have an aftermarket boost controller and solenoid, then the above is mostly true, but there is no need for a restrictor in the bleed, because the solenoid is pulse width modulated to create a variable bleed off. The air that escapes from the bleed can either be vented, or also returned to the turbo inlet. For emissions reasons it should be returned to inlet, but the amount of air being vented is so small that it really doesn't matter (either from an emissions perspective, or from an air-fuel ratio affecting perspective).
    • And other times you just need to go buy bigger injectors?
