Ps3 2.40 Update

Did anyone uodate there PS3 with e new update

Apparently there are alot of complaints about it turning there machines into useless bricks. Glad i haven't done it apparently it has been taken off see link for more info

Hmm thanks for this, i was wondering what my friend was on about the new update when i couldn't find it. He system is still working though??

Apparently its to do with the download servers. The updates aren't finishing properly and rebooting the console, and trying to install a half-finished update makes it crap itself. I downloaded it off the web and it worked fine.

Not a single issue at all.

My little brother did it without me knowing while I was at work...works fine and haven't had an issue with it...Same goes for all of my mates with their PS3's

the playstation website says a number of users have complained that the "XMB" (XrossMediaBar), is not displayed after updating to the PS3 2.40 update.

they have temporarily taken the update off until they fix the problem.

Mine works fine - updated on the PS3. I got a few trophies already

Guess Im one of the lucky ones as mine worked too. What games can you get trophies for? Just want to see what all the fuss is about.
