Problem With Breaks

Hey guys,

Been having problems with my back breaks.

Here are the symtoms:

. Breaks produce clunking noises every tire revolution when i press on halfway on the breaks

. Breaks produce sliding metal noises whn i press a quarter way through

. Breaks produce ringing noise when i im not pressing on them while driving

Finding the problem quite odd as the break pads are new. What could it be? Something loose that i could possibly tighten myself?

Help! Its really annoying.

Was it making the noise before the pads were changed? If not then i suspect it's an install issue.

So the next lot of questions; were the shims reinstalled, were the retaining pins and clips properly installed, have the pins or other bits fallen out?

The brake pads were changed just before i bought the vehicle. So im not too sure if it was because of bad replacement of the pads. Would it be an easy task for me to remove the wheel and reassemble the brakes myself?

There is probably a tutorial on removing brake discs / brake pads somewhere, its supposed to be not that hard for the rotors, not sure about the pads....
