Hi Guys,

Currently have a castor issue with the car (R32 GTR) which causes it to pull to the left while driving

A shop has recommended getting adjustable radius rods but I've also been told that replacing the castor rod bushes should be enough.

What are the advantages of one over the other? Which should I use?

Cheers!

Adjustable bushes give a limited adjustment range, of the order of +/- 0.75 deg . Adjustable rods give almost infinite adjustment.

But,

road surfaces, in general, camber to the left. So, if you let go of the stering wheel, the car will drift left as gravity pushes it down the camber.

What exactly is the "issue" you have with castor?

It's a GTR, the front drive shaft angle limits the amount of caster adjustment.

Cheers

Car felt fine initially. Had a four wheel alignment after fitting new tyres to the stock rims. After that, I noticed a definite gentle pull to the left. Took it back to where the alignment was done and they confirmed that alignment was fine but castor was out and unadjustable.

Had the car serviced the next day and the place I took it to confirmed the castor issue (both bushes poor) as well as rhr cradle bush being poor.

On a nice straight, dead flat piece of road, if you let go off the wheel you get a nice 'gentle', but very definite pull to the left.
