Hey everyone.

A couple of weeks ago some wankers broke into my car and its taken we a while to get around getting the replacements for my LH passenger and rear windows. Once starting the installation though, I noticed that the plastic lining at the top of the window sill has also been damaged, with a rock I think.

I have posted sum pictures and hope someone can tell me how to fix it. Should I just get the parts and replace it?

Thanks in advance guys, Alex

Thanks for the reply's guys.

Yeh the f@#kers stole two blitz boost and oil gauge's as well as the pod holder and my apexi afc. Surpisingly they didnt take my boost controller. They definately did a good job. Anyways I am over it now cause there is no point thinking too much about the past.

I think I will just visit the wreckers and get a new piece for the window sill. Just more hassle's I dont need.

Thanks again

It's me here again guys.

I have managed to get everything looking reasonable now and after charging up my battery I just went to start the car and guess what....more problems.

The car started and for a while I just wanted to let it run on idle. Then when i decided to rev the car in neutral it would go past 2500rpm. This got me really worried. I am guessing that it would be related to the fact my Apexi AFC2 got stolen? Anyone think this is right? What should I do with it now?

Thanks, Alex

When I had the SAFC2 installed I was still using the standard AFM. Everything was running really well up untill the car got broken into and it got stolen, so I dont realy think it could be the AFM

The idiots did just cut it and all I have done is leave it still hooked up to the ECU and just wrapped it into a circle and cable tied it off. If there is a posibility it is shorting, what can I do about trying to fix it.

Hey craved, thanks for the advice but I just did that and it still wouldnt go past 2500. I have double checked all the wires that had been tampered with and am sure that they would have nothing to do with the problem as when they removed the boost and oil temp guage they just cut them clean also.

Using my basic logic I only think that it would have something to do with the SAFC being removed.

You got any more possible solutions?

I have sum mates that are mechanics, and I was thinking maybe I could get them to plug in the diagnostic computer thingy to see if anything shows up as having a problem. Any thoughts?

From memory, the SAFC requires you to cut the AFM wire, so that the SAFC sits inbetween the split.

If the AFC is missing now, you'd need to rejoin the white wire back together until you replace the SAFC.

As above, if your AFM is faulty you'd get that cutout effect around that rev-range. Cutting the wire from it to the ECU is the same as it being dead. (no reading to the ECU)

Hey guys. Sorry bout the time taken to reply.

I have great news, the beast is ALIVE. Thankgod. I just did exactly what you said Randy and I am so thankful for your help. I thought it may have been really serious at first so its great it wasnt.
