*** July Group Buy Special on QFM High Performance Brake Pads ***

GSL RallySport stocks the complete range of QFM High Performance Brake Pads, and for the month of July is having a group buy special! Half Price Rear Pads!

We've got 8 sets to group buy off only! DB1170 (Front) and DB1220 (Rear), suit R32 GTS-T, R32 GTR, R33 GTS, R34 GTT. Fit anything with the standard 'Nissan' 4 pot/2 pot front and rear brakes. Brembo QFM pads (DB1520 and DB1521) are also available off the shelf and ready to go!

- 3 sets of A1RM Front and Rear Normal Turbo Pads. $119 + $59.50 + $12.50 shipping = $191 delivered!

- 3 sets of HPX Front and Rear Brembo Pads. $110 + $55 + $12.50 shipping = $177.50 delivered!

- 2 sets of A1RM Front and Rear Brembo Pads. $149 + $74.50 + $12.50 shipping = $236 delivered!

QFM's Performance Street pads fall into two compounds. The first is the HPX pad which is an excellent choice for street cars looking for excellent braking performance whilst retaining all the qualities of a good street pad. The HPX pads are ideal for high performance street cars looking for higher working temperatures with reduced fade, and also for Four Wheel Drives or vehicles looking to enhance their towing capacity or safety. The HPX pads unlike many pads in this performance range are virtually dust free, whilst maintaining low rotor wear.

QFM's second high performance street pad is the A1RM compound and provides QFM with its club sport track pad. It is ideal for high performance street cars that take to the track to test the limits, whilst still being a streetable pad. The A1RM is ideal for club level rally and hill climb where brakes are required right from the first corner!

I have an R34 GTT. Should I go the A1RM normal turbo pads or the HPX brembo pads?

Thanks.

Hi mate,

The GTT should just use the normal turbo pads, not the Brembo calipers. Just double check that your pads look like this, front:

http://www.bendix.com.au/catalogue/images/...Inner_Outer.gif

rear:

http://www.bendix.com.au/catalogue/images/...Inner_Outer.gif

Which we've only got in A1RM in this group buy. If you just wanted the HPX pads, that are basically the better all round performance street pad (the A1RM, although brilliant in performance, can be a slightly dusty pad), then we should have the HPX in the next group buy.

Oh and another question. These hpx pads... How do they go with the rotor... Are they harsh as im only really using them for the street and very minimal track work. Basically i want a pad thats gonna give me a bit more bite than standard. Im also looking at the ferodo ds 2500.

EDIT: Scratch the ds 2500... read the braking thread and seen they not the best for street.

ds2000 or lucas or HPX.

Thanks

is there going to be a group buy later on in future? i want to get the A1RM (front & rear) for brembo but i dont really need it now. but if this a once off send me your details for it.

just to confirm, are these the same pads from this group buy: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Ad...l&hl=qfm%2A

K750 model?

cheers :)

I was going to say, if you're after a good all round street pad, without rotor wear I wouldn't have been going the DS2500s!

We'll have a few sets of the HPX in stock soon, and I'll get the next group buy of pads happening as soon as possible. Otherwise I've got the Lucas pads on the shelf here now, $65/$55 front/rear. But I'd hold out for the HPX as they are a less dusty pad with similar performance.

Hi mate,

Its not a one off, but with the Brembo pads, its a custom order, so not something that we always keep in stock.

K750 model?

I dunno mate. The K750 is a pad produced specifically for a certain distributor. We're not privy to the various compound make-ups, suffice to say its a very similar pad.

Any other questions just let me know.

Greg

Hi mate,

Yep, you got front and rear A1RM to suit normal turbo brakes. They have gone up slightly since then, and are $191 for the complete set delivered. Got two sets left in this group buy, just let me know and I can email you through an invoice etc.

Regards,

Greg

Hi jetpilot,

I bought the QFM brakes off you quite some months ago now for my R33 but they are have become really squeeky/noisey. Its embarassing. Can you shed some light on this because honestly it was one of the selling points from you that made me buy then and they are not quiet. Appreciate if you could send me a PM to see what can be done. :D

Hi mate,

That's unusual! Were they A1RM or HPX pads? How long after you fitted them did it start? Did you machine the rotors? Did you re-fit the original shims? Squeal is caused by vibration between the backing plates and the caliper itself (nothing to do with the pad material itself), and so, depending on machining tolerances, some calipers will do it not matter what pads are in it. Try some Loctite 3 (permatex) on the backing plates as often this is a better fix than the proper anti-squeal stuff.

Regards,

Greg
