PS4 i am sure there working on it, but we wont see this for another 3 years i reckon.

They need to bring out alot more decent exclusive games first, so far they have only a few.

The ps3 is projected to have a longer than usual console life span. i think it was planned to have a life of 6 to 7 years. Most consoles have a life span of 4 to 5. There's no way they'd unveil a PS4 for a few more years.

Maybe they'll make a revision to the ps3, but that's unlikely too.

Does anybody know when this will be hitting Australia, if at all?

around october/november apparently, cant wait, ps3 will be a complete multimedia centre then.

Sony have stated the PS3 will have a life span of 10 years since release.

I dont think we'll be seeing a PS4 anytime soon. the next xbox on the other hand...

I would not be surprised if sony is just waiting for there sysytem to hacked, once it is hacked and you can copy and play games on the ps3 then they will fast track the ps4, untill then they have the best console in the world that is also the most popular so people are building lots of games and extra attachments to make it better so why would you release a new one when there is plenty of miles left in the current one.
