Well after thinking about it for a while, I've decided to sell the V35.

Absolutely love the car, but looking to drop the home loan a little quicker.

Here's the link to the for sale thread. Drop me a PM if anyone's interested.

I have met with Bobby previously and anyone looking to get into a 35 should put this one at the top of their list. The car is in fantastic condition, very well cared for, by an owner who actually cares about the car. This is everything you want.

Best of luck Bobby!

Cheers mate.

Appreciate the kind words. Don't make it too easy for someone to buy it :-)

I've been looking at G35.Driver a bit and starting to have second thoughts, as i can picture a nice Top Secret front bar on the car and a turbo kit to match :-)

Oh, and where are the pics of the car with the wheels?

interesting to see you selling

especially since you just sold your other one to get this one!

there's nothing more behind the sale?

is it not meeting your needs as a daily or something?

i must say, its a very nice example of a V35..

Hey Waz,

Nothing more to it at all mate. I actually love the V35's and as said am in no rush to sell and really have no problem in keeping it. As a daily it's great. I have 2 young boys and the car can easily serve a family of 4, even when we head down the coast and fill it with toys.

At the end of the day, I have a young family and have just finsihed building my second new house, which has gone slightly over budget.

Putting on my reponsible long term hat, the money would simply be better spent on the loan rather than being tied up in the car.

I'm still a car freak at heart and will either move to a cheaper car like a neat 32 GTR for weekends only, or potentially a track only car.

SOLD!

Well, as of today I am officially V35-less.

Thought i would handle it ok, but pretty sad watching it head down the street for the last time.

Tomorrow I'm going to get my nuts removed, and will then buy a Mirage or something to go to and from work.

Sad to hear, but it's all for a good cause...

Mirage's a fun little car... not all that bad. Taking advantage of Mitsubishi's usually huge depreciation value you should be able to find something in good condition for a great price!

surprising you sold it so quick?

Hey Bobby

I feel for you. Everytime I part ways with a car I used to own, it feels like heart wrench. But looking after the family is important.

Hope you'll stay around in the forums; I'm sure everybody agrees that it wouldn't be the same without you.

Thanks Guys,

Being such a nice car it was definitely sad. The new owner was really wrapped so that was good. I've never seen someone smile so much when handing over large sums of cash :-)

I'll definitely be around, no plans on going anywhere. Have started the search for a weekend only GTR so won't be out of a Skyline for long.

Rianto, it sold sought of quick. It was just a matter of waiting for the right buyer.

With the TE37's on I sold it for around $40k.

Which i think was pretty good for an 04 with 60k's. It's why i tell people not to rush it unless your desperate, and hold your price.

My auto non premium, in 100% stock condition also sold for $40k last November.

It helps to though that both were genuine, very well looked after cars.

Gotta say, they're not the easiest car to sell, but at the same time, those interested know what they want, and have usually done a bit of reaserch on the car.

So whne they find a good example, they usually know it.

Mark, I made $6k on my auto :-), and lost a couple on the 6MT, considering i changed the clutch and stuff. But overall came out on top if you look at both cars.

    • I've heard the Tomei USA head gaskets are decent if you want to o-ring the heads but otherwise not recommended.
    • The 296mm rotors are the R33 turbo brakes. The 310mm rotors are the R34 turbo brakes. The calipers are nearly the same, but not. They're the same caliper but the R34 caliper has longer legs so that it sits out far enough to go over the rotor. The pads are the same for both. When you say, "I bough tsome EBC"....did you just mean pads? Or rotors? 310mm rotors fit under 17" wheels. There may be some wheels without enough clearance though. I can't fit my fingers between the barrel of my wheel and the "corners" of my R34 calipers, but there is plenty of room behind the spokes. This is on Enkei RPF1. You can fit 324mm rotors inside a 17" wheel, but I'd be willing to bet that it would be close to impossible with the Nissan/Sumitomo caliper (using an adapter, of course), because the Sumitomo caliper is fatter than the Brembo caliper that is supposed to go on the 324mm rotors.
    • Hi. Can someone tell me what brakes(and mainly WHERE) can i buy brakes on R34 GTT? I bought some EBC which SHOULD go on my car(i have GT but it has GTT brakes) but it does not fit, Brakes are "too" small(296mm) Are 310mm be good or? I have 17 inch wheel so no "big boys" but for me driving i just need one that fits and i can get here in EU/Czech.
    • Since winter isn't that harsh anymore in Poland, i will definetely drive it 365 days a year 馃槈. But if the snow hits i will try it for sure and let U know. Only swap i am planning to do is of course R34 GTR front 馃槏.
    • Hey. Very valuable information about pitwork, I will pay attention when buying any consumable parts 馃檹 As for the carpets - I got a handful of information from nengun, from which it appears that indeed the carpets for the driver's side are OEM. They are not able to show me any pictures due to the long chain of different sales entities but after I place the order, as soon as the goods arrive at the nengun warehouse from which they will send the shipment to me they can send me photos and if my purchase differs from OEM I can immediately return it / cancel the purchase. I think I will give it a try 馃槈. Of course i'll let you know what's what as soon as i get them P.s. I know the topic is not relevant to the thread, but both nengun and amayama have these SICK 馃槏 trunk room lamps available. Do you know anyone who ordered them? I need to have one in my car
