Ive the chance to get a HKS torque split controller and i need to know if it will work with a Stagea s1 awd. The unit in question is for a BNR32 GTR OR BCNR33 GTR OR GTS-4.

Will it work??

The R32 unit and the R33 unit are different as the looms (ATTESA plugs) are not the same. In theory, if the Stagea ATTESA plugs are the same as the R32 ones, then it will work. Alternatively, if they are the same as the R33, then an R33 unit will work.

So its clear now the hks one won't work but has anyone found any companies that make one that will work with stageas?????

MyStag260 lists an attessa torque split controller in his sig - perhaps contact him?

no in the end I didn't put a controller on mine for 2 reasons.

1. the loom and plug wire colours are different to 32, 33 and 34.

2. it already has plenty of fwd as far as I'm concerned - it has power understeer not power oversteer. and attessa controller can't reduce the amount of fwd, just increase it

so the controller only gives u more front bias?? imo thats pointless, the normal awd attesa on my stagea has grip up the wazoo. when could u possibly need more?? i thought the controller gave u more rear bias for those times when u want a little less front traction. i guess u learn something new everyday

yeah exactly.

I should clarify - any controller that works with the standard system can only add front torque - that includes the ones I used to get, HKS, GRID, Paul Ruzic's one, the cheapy ebay ones. There is 1 controller I know of that is different, HKS drag controller replaces the standard attessa computer with their own that has a selectable fixed split that drops back to rwd over a certain speed. So also no use for street or track use.
