Relocating Ignitor Module

I want to remove the coilpack cover to keep the coils cooler on WOT, plus it looks a little better . The Ignitor module is mounted on the cover near the firewall and i want to remove it. Is there anywhere to put it? On the firewall?

I know S2's have the ignitor built into the coils. Any experiences with this are appreciated.

I have mine on the fire wall just to the left as your looking at it... i'm going to make a bracket at work to mount it properly...

Just cut the cover back and leave the part that mounts the PTU.

You won't need to make a bracket that way.

And the PTU is in the ECU, not built into the coil on the S2

S2's definately have the PTU's in the coils, not the ecu.(the ecu's are interchangable)

Thanks for the replies everyone. I like the idea of mounting it on the firewall. Any advice before i do it? i.e. Do the wires have enough length and what about screwing it in?
