Nismo_Boy
This is a long shot, but does anyone (Australia/Japan/America/UK) make Titanium rb26 dump/extension pipes? Or is this going to be a local custom job to suit my needs? Thanks Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/226869-titanium-dumpextension-pipes/ Share on other sites

Nismo_Boy
Did you have "dump" pipes or "front" pipes... I'm after just the dump pipes, turbo's to front pipe section. What brand did you have? Thanks Edited July 5, 2008 by Nismo_Boy Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/226869-titanium-dumpextension-pipes/#findComment-3994301 Share on other sites
VB-
why do you want titanium specifically? theres a massive shortage of it world wide and your gonna have alot of trouble finding any, and if you do, better lube up before you ask the price Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/226869-titanium-dumpextension-pipes/#findComment-3994334 Share on other sites
Nismo_Boy
Specifically no reason other then because I’d like a complete Ti system turbo’s to tip. But this thread is on who makes a set not me justifying expensive parts that serve very little purpose on anything other then race cars. I wasn’t aware there was a shortage however, thanks for the heads up Edited July 5, 2008 by Nismo_Boy Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/226869-titanium-dumpextension-pipes/#findComment-3994355 Share on other sites
madbung
I had dump and front pipe, sold them on ebay a few years back now...No markings so I couldn't tell you who made them. The rest of the system was Nismo so they might have come from there. They sold for $200 @ auction and didn't get much interest at the time Talk about light weight, I should have hung onto them. Sorry i'm not much help. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/226869-titanium-dumpextension-pipes/#findComment-3994372 Share on other sites
The Dan
I can weld Titanium but I don't know why you'd bother with a system like that Josh. Titanium does not last very long at all. Yes it is light but only because it is spun so thin. Extremely short service life Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/226869-titanium-dumpextension-pipes/#findComment-3994405 Share on other sites

Never the less, thanks madbung. I’ll keep googling away to see if I can turn up any off the shelf dump pipes knowing someone has had a set now. Extremely short service life You can? That gives me a new potential avenue now. But yeah no real reason behind my madness other then wanting a full Ti system, plus I like the idea they weigh very little and in my mind I believe Ti systems have a distinctive (better) note over stainless Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/226869-titanium-dumpextension-pipes/#findComment-3994414 Share on other sites
