Ok, I bought this truck in Japan as it was super clean and in excellent condition and had just been recently added to the SEVS register. It has 150,000kms on it and has service receipts for services that were carried out EVERY 10,000kms or less. That is pretty rare to get such a complete service history with a car or truck, and it has quite low kms. It's a 4.2litre diesel and has a 5 speed manual transmission. It also has exhaust brake (compression brake) which can be switched on or off. It seats 3 up front and has awesome Air-con and heater. Has power steering too. The truck can take over 2,000kgs of goods. I used it to carry some important parts across from japan to aus. It has an aluminium pantec body and is in great condition, it has closeable vents on both sides, and drainage in the floor. It also has a nice big light in the back. and big lockable doors. It comes with 2 spare tyres (1 front 1 rear) and all the jacks etc. you can fit 4-5 full size pallets in the back. It has alloy rails too.

The best bit is it can be driven on a road licence as it's just under the limit for when a heavy vehicle licence is needed and it's easy to drive. oh, it also has one other cool feature, when you reverse as well as the standard reverse beeper it has a japanese ladies voice on loudspeaker that says "the truck is reversing". hehe.

oh, of course it's fully registered and complied. and I just bought new batterys for it costing $350!

I will check the measurements for you Aaron.

It was big enough to fit:

2 X R34 N1 Nur crate motors (each on their own full size pallet)

1 set of carbon fibre R34 GTR wide body rear quarters

1 set of carbon R34 wide body front guard

1 set of carbon Super GT style skirts

1 garage kagotani GT front bumper and carnards

1 garage kagotani front under tray diffuser

1 trust intercooler kit for S13

4 X R32 GTR wheels with tyres

1 X bar table

1 X 18X13inch Super GT magnesium TE37

2 X truck spare wheels

1 X C-west carbon fibre GT wing and gurney flap

lots of other little bits too (like GTR plenum, throttles, cam gears, springs etc etc)

and still had some room in there for more. it would be perfect as a moving truck or delivery truck, or as a support vehicle for race track use. It can carry a whole lot of stuff, but still very easy to drive and park, and legal on a regular licence.

it also has an electric folding side mirror too which is pretty cool for a truck!

I'm not really sure, but this one would be pretty easy to convert. it already has the thick doors that seal air tight with rubber seals and the doors interlock.

Cheers Baron,Im more interested in the length of the chassis rails.Long enough to carry a r32 once converted to flatbed?

I'm actually surprised you aren't using it for that purpose.

I would love to, it would make a very good tow vehicle with big torque from the 4.2l diesel. I will do a quick measure of the chassis and get back to you. :) I wish I could keep it, but truth be told I just can't afford to. I already have access to a tow vehicle and trailer and with limited funds just can't afford to hang onto this baby. :whistling:

Better make that:

3/ Does it share engine, body, driveline bits with anything domestic? Grey import support for Nissan/UD trucks is pretty farking woeful but would be a piece of piss if it was common with something sold here.

will get the dimensions for you Adrian. :)

To the best of my knowledge it is an isuzu 200 sold in japan as a nissan atlas 200. so parts should not be a problem. anyone will be shocked how clean this truck is, it drives like brand new, and you could seriously eat off the undercarriage. in fact looking at isuzu nkr 200 it looks identical. and some net research reveals the atlas is built by isuzu.

to get a good idea of the scale of the rear space, that pallet in the pics is a normal full sized pallet and on it is a Nissan RB26 crate motor on it's wooden crate. I would say 4 pallets easy, but probably fit 5 pallets. It also has bars that fit into the groves on the walls to creat partitions. The little alloy runners on the floor can also be easily removed. Has a good flurescent light in the back too.

Anyway, here's a lot more pics.

oh, and the 18X13 inch wheel was off a Suepr GT Nismo GTR. souveneir purposes. :) though if I buy 3 more they would go nicely on the GTR.. lol.

couldn't get the measurements yet. i've been working late so when I get home it's cold and dark and i'm knackered. so the motovation to poke around in the dark is not strong enough to pull me away from the couch and heater!

I did pull out the log books though.

man it's got good service history.

I had it serviced at compliance with new filters, and elf oils and I think they did brakes too (will check that). It's currently showing 155,576 and that service was done at 155,550 (so it's done 26kms since). The last service in japan was done at 154,356! So it did a whopping 1,000kms between the last 2 services. before that it was 145,278 before that it was 137,020 before that 128,421 before that? 119,450. I think you get the idea. this thing was serviced every 10,000kms or less since new. and they are all the proper full services with the dockets all attached to the log book. Flicking through the book the first service I have down was done at 1,117kms and the second at 6,820kms. very complete history. :P

here we go. just for interest I took a few scans. first is the front cover of the service book. next is the first page showing the chassis number etc. next is one of the thick stack of service dockets. This is the most recent one.

Can vouch for these being great trucks! We used a tilt tray one for a couple of years dragging a 33 race car up and down the east coast. Quite ecenomical and pretty comfy all things considered  Good luck with it Baron!

cheers.

I did the measurements on the weekend. I did them by myself and needed one hand to hold my beer so they aren't exacly accurate to the milimeter but pretty close.

The back is over 4 meters long and about 1.85m wide. the ceiling height is 1.75m. overall length is 5.4m and from memory overall height is 2.4m high. Sorry it's a bit hazy, I didn't have a pen either and i did do it 24 hours ago, so I'm asking a lot of the ol memory bank!
