thanks corinne. you are right. I just used it last weekend to empty out my storage unit and I was able to fit the whole lot into the truck (2 beds, fridge, 2 couches, arm chair, tables, boxes the whole lot). I'm going to use it again this weekend to move a whole bunch of stuff out of the house and into the apartment, but after that I really need it gone. :(

so someone please come and make me an offer on it!

someone buy me! still for sale. used it again the other day to move some furniture. great truck to drive, very good on fuel considering it's size. :P

I'll drop the price down a bit for any SAU related buyer too so don't be shy. :)

still for sale. you are looking at a saving of about $10K compared to importing one like this now. awesome truck, so make me an offer. :P

still got this bad boy. now my freeloading mates are borrowing it to move house! help the baron out. spencer is out there right now terrorising people by using the exhaust brake milimeters off their bumper!!

dropped the price to $20,000 flat. usually at this price point all you could get would be a shagged out truck with 300,000kms+. this one is immaculate and good value at $20K. I just need the $$.

still need to sell me truck. $20K flat and I'll even throw in a trolley jack gratis! can't beat that.

It's too narrow for a 3x2=6 pallets Mr Baron, will only take 3x1=3 pallets. Also being non-turbo it will be flatout doing 95km/h on the freeway, less with a tonne in the back, but will certainly get up any hill due to the low gearing.

Definitely looks very clean inside and out. What year model is it? i'm guessing about 2000-2002.

Reasonable price, pity im not financial because I definitely do need a truck for work - my little hiace is just way too small these days.

could be right benny about the pallets. but I think it'll fit 4. when I had 2 in there from memory they were short of half way. i've had it up about 120km on the freeway though. umm I mean 110 officer. :) that's probably with only a 500-600 or so kg in the back. but you are right the gearing is pretty low. first gear gets you to all of about 10km/h. not needed for anything except parking. it does give it decent acceleration though. plus I guess trucks aren't supposed to go past 100 these days (doesn't seem to stop semi drives...)

i'm not sure on the year, have to check the papers at home. it looks the same as one generation behind the current model though, so maybe 10years old or so? it is mint though and has all the service history since brand new. every 10,000kms or less.

anyway looks like i'm doomed to be free truck rental for my mates for the foreseeable future. :P

Don't spose you wanna lease it to me Mr Baron for the next couple of years? (I aint kidding)

at this rate I could be pretty tempted. :)

yep it's still chugging away at my parents place on the sunny northshore. very keen to shift it. you'd be hard pressed to find a better condition truck for this money. i've been all over it, under it and inside it and it's nice all over. all log books and every single service receipt is there and it's always been serviced on time.

want this farker gone. guess I really should advertise it somewhere but god dammit i'm lazy! so if anyone's keen come check it out. just putting new rego on it on monday and want it gone for $18,000...

I just put 6 months rego on it yesterday, farken $800 worth of blue slip, green slip and rego.

I'm feeling festive at the moment, so Beer Baron is slashing prices on all his quality autos. lol. $17,500 flat will see you drive off in JDM trucking style. I'll even chuck in a packet of mild sevens and a can of boss coffee so you can really look and smell like a JDM trucker...

well i have to pick up a scooter in this thing next week but after that I really want to sell this truck. sick of looking at it every time I go to my parents place! someone buy it and enjoy. I did take it on a big drive the other day (with a full load of furniture in the back) from chatswood to liverpool and it travelled fine on freeways (m5) etc. no trouble cruising on 110 even with the full load and no trouble getting up those hills in 5th even at lower speeds like 80 etc in the m5 tunnel. it's still running like clockwork and the AC was awesome (was about 30degrees that day!).

it really is a great truck. someone make me an offer I can't refuse.

going through the want to sell my truck phase again. just had to renew rego etc and sick of paying for the bugger purely so my family and friends have a nice handy truck to use whenever they want!

now asking $17K flat with rego etc and brand new $400 worth of batteries. Truck is absolutely mint. I can't describe how well looked after it is. I have every single service receipt for it since brand new and they were all done at an isuzu/nissan dealership and ALL completed in under 10,000kms. It's super reliable and longing for a new trucking home. :)

    • Not R7R. Meant to type R&R, obviously enough.
    • Bugger "making it look stock". I put one conventional internally fused Hella relay behind each globe. I just pulled the plugs off the back of the globes and built new loom segments with male and female plug parts to match up to the original loom and the globe, and used the original power wires to each globe coming from the switch through the original loom plug to trigger the relays. Ran a big fat (also separately fused) power wire across the front of the car to feed all the relays. It's as ugly as f**k, but it is wedged down between the headlight and battery on the RHS and the airbox and headlight on the LHS, and no-one ever looks in my engine bay, and on the odd occasion that they do I simply give no f**ks for what they think. Fully reversible - not that you'd ever want to. For f**k's sake. It's a Skyline. They made million of the bloody things. We've been crashing them into roadside furniture for 30 years now. There is a negative side effect to putting relays on the headlights. The coil current is too little to properly clean the contacts in the switches and they get blacked up and you have to open them up every couple of years and clean them manually. I have 25 years of experience on this point.
    • I was poking through the R34 wiring diagrams vs R33 and noticed that the R34 has proper headlight relays while the R33 is like the R32 and sends full headlight power through the headlight switch. I'm not afraid of wiring but I really would like to do this in a way that looks OEM (clipping into open positions on the OEM relay box) and also unlike the factory wiring which interlocks the high beam and low beam on the halogen series 1 GTR headlights I want to make it such that turning on the high beams keeps the low beams on as well. Any advice on how to locate the specific connectors + crimp terminals + relays I need? I was thinking one NO relay for low beams and another for combined high + low running off the factory high beam headlight connector. I don't really want to splice into a crusty old probably discontinued factory harness so fully reversible is my goal here.
    • Pretty sure they run the same engine as the Q50 hybrid which specifies 95 RON.  I ran 98 in mine for a while, but it made no difference in performance or economy, so I have been using 95 for the last few years.  I have never hit 6.0L/100km, but have returned mid to high 6 on the highway.  Being a hybrid, fuel economy is a lot more dependant on how you drive it.  At 110km/h, mine never goes into EV mode on the highway, so returns closer to 7.5L/100. urban driving can return low 8s if you are careful or over 10 if you are a bit more enthusiastic on the throttle.
    • About a quarter of what you want to do. It's only R7R, not R&dismantle&replaceparts&reassemble&R. ? It is stock. I already told you, you will NOT have broken those. It's f**king 4th gear for Christ's sake. You just chipped the teeth off.
