holes in front bar...

alright i have seen these on many aftermarket bars, and i want to know.. what the hell is there use???

those are for that little extra air to force onto a front mount inter.... and they look the goods too!

ive noticed that on gt-r's the vspec's dont have these 'speed holes'.. but normal gt-r's do... i would have thought it would be the other way around if anything:)

i think it may be some sort of factory option. coz the video i got shows the r32 normal and the vspec with no speed holes.... hehehe speed holes....

I thought the 2 holes were called N1 bumper inserts.

Isn't there an N1 version in all the GTR's

or did they just do that in the R34 and all the other GTR owners saw them and thought "sweet" I'll take 2 of those there speeeed holes..

I'm going home to take to my bonnet with a axe... I'm a get me some of them there speeed holes..

GTST there was an n1 in all models of the gtr, boo5t the cars you see that arent n1 with this they have been fitted later or the front bar has been replaced thats probs why you see more run of the mill R's with them these cars are more likely to have a new front bar.

officially they are called N1 front bar slots. i wouldn't mind getting those as a later addition to my car... they arent too much either. UAS quotes $100 for the fibreglass ones for an R32, which is cheap.... oh and of course fitting, dunno how much for that though... hehehe speed holes... from the simpsons!

from my understanding, R33 Series 3 GTR's have these in the bars as standard, of course N1 GTR's have them as well

Series 1 and Series 2 R33 GTR's don't have them (unless they are aftermarket / add on)

not sure on R32's or R34's.. but yeah they flow a little more air into the top of the intercooler,

i guess they may even increase flow into oil coolers as well depending on where they are fitted, but it is probably too low down for that..

oh i forgot, i think you need to cut out part of the support bar behind the bumper to fit them in R33 GTR's..

i may be wrong though, but it is worth a look

Yeah on the r32 gtr they are from the N1 kit. Ive got em for my GTst which has original GTR bar, theyr bout 350 each side from nissan, but fortuantely I got em original for 250 together. They go with the N1 lip on the bonnet, N1 rear pod on side skirt, and the lip on the boot lid under the spoiler.
