Nengun is good.

I have bought $3000 worth of stuff over the last 2 months, no problem. I paid directly into his account both times.

He helped me out on the first shipment with customs, paid no duty. The second, I got hit for $100 import duty, but that's life. Mind you it was a very large box with some expensive gear. My only gripe is that the emails can be a little short and infrequent. Last shipment just arrived with just a customs notice - had no idea when it was going to show up. He must be a very busy guy.

TakaKaira is another mob I am pleased to deal with, but are somewhat more expensive, but have excellent range of brand and product.

Good luck.

hey Torrens, would something like a front mount kit be racking up some import duty cos of its size? thinking of getting one from Nengun...

Well, that's the one I got slugged for. It had an EBC in the box as well, so it's hard to tell what made it get import duty.

Still, I got the Trust IC + piping kit for under 97000 yen (around $1230 AUD), so adding $90 isn't such a bad deal anyway - still cheaper than just about anything made locally.

My theory is that if you send the goods to major center, it gets checked more thouroughly - both parcels that have been looked at by customs entered via Brisbane CBD. Another parcel went straight through when it went to a residential address. Just theories...
