Nice one!!!

How much was the set up? Was it difficult to set up/tune?

Are you getting better fuel economy?

Cheers

Justin

The setup cost $3300 after the government rebate. The people who installed it (Auto Gas Injection, Frankston) said they didnt have any problems setting up the system. They said liquid injection runs best when you have a petrol system that utilizes electronic sequential injection which fortunately for me the r33 s2 does have.

The economy figures i am getting are as below (l/100km):

PetrolLPGMax12.0215.40Min11.2711.44Avg11.6514.11

Note: Petrol consumption was when it was running on stock boost and lpg is when it was tuned to 11psi.

Basically it shows when the car is driven "responsibly" your fuel consumption on lpg is only a few % greater than running on petrol. But when you thrash it your consumption can be over 20% more than running on petrol. I have been told lpg burns a lot faster when the car is being driven hard as it has a lower energy value compared to petrol. But still when you look at the average it works out approx to be the same running costs as say a toyota yaris but with 190rwkw!

I hope this helps.

Cheers,

Sorry consumption figures as below (l/100km):

Petrol (Max/Min/Avg): (12.02/11.27/11.65)

LPG (Max/Min/Avg): (15.4/11.44/14.11)

Just wanna know two things.... is it a dedicated LiLPG system or is it dual fuel and if it IS a dedicated system, who did it?

Cheers.

The system is duel fuel, it starts on petrol and does a purge cycle for about 30sec and then changes over to lpg. Installers are Auto Gas Injection, Frankston.

Cheers,

The only wastegates I've ever had leak like a sieve, return, still leak, return and get shipped back the wrong ones were from Turbosmart. The only final drive that I've ever purchased that were unusable, twice... were from Speedtek. The only seat mounts that I've ever purchased that placed the seats in the door frame were from Crank Motorsport. The only poorly designed parts that I had the manufacturer confirm should have been designed as per what I mentioned were from GKTech. The only ECU I've had firmware updates consistently break things are Haltech. The only catch can I've purchased that didn't fit in its advertised spot was from ATP. So forth and so on... Moral of the story, doesn't matter where it's from. Do your research beforehand and stick with products and companies you've trusted in the past.    @joshuaho96 If you want it done right, do it yourself.
    • Something coarse-ish. 180 is good.
    • I was surprised to see all the quick Jack models at the same prices on there. But yeah, grabbing one at 20% off would be great.
    • I wonder if these would be discounted when they have their big sales? because if so would be a great time to actually buy them could even end up cheaper than buying from quickjack in the end.
    • Which grit sand paper did you use on the pulley btw? Thought I'd ask so I don't scratch it up too much
