hey guys just want a quick question answered.

i have a turbo timer hooked up to my car and soon to get a alarm. will i need as they say a alarm with turbo timer compatibility? or can i just get this alarm

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Mongoose-M20S-Alarm...1QQcmdZViewItem which which doesn't say it is compatible with turbo timers and it'll be fine? that mongoose is actually the one i want to buy. will i need to buy another one since it doesn't ahve turbo timer compatibility?

either way how does it work? will the alarm without the turbo timer compatibility just lock itself via remote whenever i choose to or will it just not work?

will the turbo timer compatible alarm lock the car automatically straight after the turbo timer shuts the car down?

how does it work for people that know?

thanks

nope look elsewhere. half the stuff that fellow has sold is imported. the alarms are too cheap and I dare say imported. call mongoose in sydney and ask for a priceon that unit. it's well below what I pay.

oh really? aren't mongoose a australian brand alarm nonetheless?

so will i need something compatible with turbo timers to work properly?

need to know how it works so i know what to buy.

how about rhino? theres a rhino gtr alarm that i'm interested in aswell.

well i just need to know how the turbo timer compatibiity works?

because i'm inking of buying a simple alarm that doesn't have turbo timer compatibility.

what will happen? no what i mean?

Jake, the alarm you linked to above wont be insurance approved, it's not using all black wiring.

As for Turbo timer compatible, with the right installation the alarm can be installed with the timer and they can both work together, but it's easier to get an alarm system with inbuilt timer, means the alarm wont have immobiliser over-rides, etc.

B.

the mongoose m60 and m80 both have turbo timer interface, austrailain standard whitch means all black wiring, passive arming and 2 point immobiliser with the m60 and 3 point immobiliser with the m80.

in short for you, when you arm your car with the turbo timer counting down the car is still protected so if someone opens your door whilst car running the motor will shut down and the alarm will sound.

we install mongoose daily and find they are a very good system so we recomend them.

hope that helps
