Howdy, I am guessing this has been asked before but I did a search and didnt come up with anything.

Building a mild RB20 at the moment and want to know roughly where the limits of the stock valve springs are.

Would HKS step (264 duration 9.0mm lift) be fine or will I be better off to get a set of poncams (254 duration 8.5mm lift)

Cheers,

Jayson

any thing past 260 gring in duration .. your springs will then suffer

i have a rb30det i used some (performance springs ) they are suited to 11.5mm lift ... and i have no problems with hks 264 with the custom 9.5-9.3 mm lift.
