Fluid Dampeners

Well i don't know much about them at all, searching Google and Yahoo didn't reveal much either... Just a heap of cars (mainly American Muscle Cars, so pretty awesome ones too!!) which have fitted them...

If no Jap cars are running them then made that suggests that there not needed for our style of car?

I'm pretty sure C-Red's white GT-R (GTAAH) is running one... Its either an ATI or Fisher, can't remember what Glenn said...

Well i found the ATI website:

They make the ones to suit the RB26 but they are not serpentine so you cant drive the power steer pump or air con condensor i dont think these can be used ontop of the factory one or can they ????

I'm reading it all too, looks really good, but it doesn't provide a pulley drive for other items, which could be a pain, but who needs power steering and air-con:D

In reading through, basically if you want to rev the engine, then the elastomer can fail which leads to vibrations which then leads to cranks snapping and engines being rebuilt... They also state with their fluid dampeners that at 7500rpm you will gain approx 45hp over stock....

So basically if you want to rev the engine more than what nissan have specified then ATI will almost guarantee that their dampener will be up to the task... And they will custom make parts at your request too...

Well i'm not sure what my mechanic has got in mind, but i got a feeling its big...

Well you can buy rebuild kits for $450US... So i guess thats a start...

Hmm, I can see why NASCAR use them, they have sustained high rpm (9000+).

If you are going for an RB30 bottom end id stay under 7500rpm unless you plan on rebuilding it all the time as the piston speed goes of the clock at speeds above this
