Hello guys,

i read a lot of "oppinions" about the "crank-collar-case" until now however i'm not sure about a few things.

I have a JUN oil pump and do i need to fit a crank collar on my RB25DET '95 (Series 1.5) engine or will the RB25DET

crank match the JUN Oil Pump perfectly ?.

As i heard only the "most" R32 GT-R RB's have problems, but didn't heared anything about the RB25DET ??.

The next thing, if i'm understanding right that the collar have bigger flats to run the oil pump, do you mean wider flats, or longer flats, or both ?

Thanks in advance for your help guys.

is that all rb25's? or just ealry model ones?

short answer: you will need a crank collar

longer answer: all rb30, rb25, and early model r32 rb26 cranks are narrow and need the collar, the later model r32gtrs, r33gtrs and r34gtrs have a wider "snout" and dont require the collar to fit a pump like the jun

OK guys can you please help me to understand this, some are speaking that the flat surface isn't that wide as it should be.

Do you mean the width of the flat surface or the length of the flat surface or both?.

I need to know this to be able to explain it to my engine builder.

length...your engine builder doesn't know this??

send it to me.

If he didnt already know, cant be that experienced with RB's... make me wonder about other things like oil control etc

Sounds risky to me :D

yeah RB's are a bit more involved than a Holden Red motor.
