Hi all

I want to bring my rocker cover and plenum up nice and shiny but all the buff and polishing stuff ive seen

isnt heavy duty enough to remove the rough surface or the rocker cover and plenum.

do i rub it back with sand paper first to get an even surface then polish /buff the sand paper

scratches out or what??

What buffing wheels do those whohave done this recommend?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

will the steel evenually get surface rust? do you have to continually repolish them to keep the shine?

cheers

Its recommended that you give it a flick of clear to help reduce the likely hood of them oxidising :D

cheers thanks for that champ :( might give it a go this weekend too

No worries

good luck with it and like Chris said have a read over the threads in the Fabrication section that covers it if you haven't already done so :D

just a little bit of inf0 - Cam covers/rocker covers are alloy so they wont "rust" but you can get white oxidisation on them. clear coating will seal them, but also reduces the shine of the polishing.
