Modification Of S1 R33 M Spec Front Bar

going to pick up a S1 r33 m spec front bar tomorrow and thinking about removing the centre section of the bar to show more of the intercooler. has anyone done this, whats the best way of doing it. does the support bar behind the bar need removing/chopping up. pics would be great.

I love the M-Spec kit like that, wouldnt mind seeing how it'll go with some very close mesh in it (my car doesnt have an intercooler... obviously )

I'm looking for one of these front bars atm, so I'm interested in the same thing

If you want to remove the center part of the bar, you will also have to cut out the center part of the reo. To do it properly and not look like a hack job, you'll need to keep all your offcuts, take the bar and the off cuts to a plastic welder and ask him to weld some pieces of plastic into the cutouts to make it look neat. Then you'll need to prep and paint the bar.

have done the same mod to mine. hopefully it looks as good as yours. i got the original plastic mesh bits for each side of the intercooler opening. do you think the intercooler looks better black or aluminium. Will put up pic when finished

Comes down to personal taste.

I have a red/charcoal/black theme with my car, so i painted the cooler black.
