Air Diversion Plate For V35

Hi,

Anyone used these before? It's help to divert air coming to front intake to the radiator.

Actually I have one for sale for AUD68, interested? It's made of aluminum, brand new.

My bro had one on his RX8, didn't make a difference. just another marketing gimmicks I reckon.

on V35 it'll probably make it even worse as it reduces the amount of air that could have been going up on the right side of your first picture, and into the factory airbox intake mouth, so the engine will be slightly 'choked' and not getting enough air.

Got one for my 34. Can't say it made any difference at all. Unless you are tracking the car weekly and doing high speed laps around a track or drag racing, it probably only serves more of an aesthetic purpose for daily driving.

A mate on another forum fitted something similar on his S15, and with a water temp gauge on the exit of his radiator he did notice a temperature drop (a few degrees, less than 10) after fitting it.

Still, unless you're tracking the car or you've done a lot of mods that increase engine bay heat, I can't see it being a major issue.
