The only R33 to have a 6 spd was the R33 GTR LM which was originally a 6spd sequential. Was changed to a 5 psd H-pattern for reliability reasons. It also happened to be a real car as it was RWD and 2.8L :)

I did a real bried write up a while ago from some articles in Racecar Engineering Clicky Here

Was speaking to dad last night about the 400r option. we've decided to go the lightweight n1 way, we figure that it if anyone runs a 400r, it won't be much differnt power wise to when race fuel was legal and we were on bp. the car still has full trim (barring the rear seat and stezza), even got carpet where the back seat was. So we'll strip it, and probably get a titanium exaust.

I reckon about the same. Having a look at the results Ben had from the REAL Z Tune when he had it (when he fixed the exhaust and the ECU) it was producing similar power to what mine was and almost identical track times. The only thing I'm not sure about is what effect having to raise the ride height is going to have because I know where it currently is it bottoms out big time on the roads.

But I think it will be alright. I've no doubts in the right hands it would perform really well and in my hands should do a nice job of making me look better than I am (again)

Keep it Dane. Talking to a Snr Cams guy he was telling me there is a lot of pent up frustration with people applying for rally reg on cars that are not used in formal dirt/tarmac rallies. The rule as for cars like EVOs etc that were sold in OS markets to compete witout formal compliance and rego. Not for guys who import bitzas and want to drive them to the track for a thrashing. Warning i got was if it can be complied then they wont take too kindly to handign out rally reg....but then you get different verdicts from different ppl which is another problem all together

A mate's going through the rally reg thing up here at the moment with a ser 6 RX7.... apparently there'll be no reg for it until it has a CAMS cage in it, which in itself is no big deal, but it's the ongoing stuff needed thats annoying.

Jason got done driving the 34 gtr on rally reg to do the shopping, someone dobbed him in for having what looked like forklift plates on it! lol... came out and the fuzz was wanting a chat about exactly what event he was running at the local woolworths. lol

Yeah I'm keeping the full street reg on my car until I get into trouble for it! Long term it is a much better thing to have than rally reg and for the sake of $200pa or something I say keep it if you can.

Thanks for the opinions guys. The plan was to keep it until the fuzz take it away :) BUT it's just a waste when I never use it, and have paid 2 years worth without eeven driving the thing... but I think you're right, it's worthwhile having but thought if I could get away with a temp reg from Vicroads that'd work out a hell of a lot cheaper.
