Not on a rally but I once made the mistake of having a caramel milkshake at lunch before going on an intense twisties run in an EMO. I felt terrible even as the driver! LOL

But it did teach me a lesson to watch what I eat before driving hard. :merli:

Yeah I remember the 2004 East Coast Targa. Appo and I decided Eggs Benedict would be a good breakfast prior to racing. Yeah nah, not good. It repeated all day. I never throw up though, throwing up to me is the equivelent of the end of the world.

oh you big girl!!

I took wet T-Shirt comp to a whole nother level that day!:(:merli:

I get a pins and needles feeling come over me sometimes...but I used to not eat anything before a rally until that day I thought I would be fine..

So will go back to not eating before rallying..

I am fine on the circuit it's just up/down. around and rough that got me..only on that one stage too..Weird :D

HEY! I'm not the one who threw up!

I think you need some of Uncle Chop Chop's medicine....

Oh I used that dont you worry!

This is my favourite quote and made me get through the rally...

Atleast I can throw up and keep going..I got a nice new Rally jacket for my efforts too!

Hmm i think the key is more to eat properly for these events and digest it all properly. IE chew the f**k out of it.

Have breakfast early to give yourself time to digest before jumping in the car. i think most ppls problem is they have brekfast and then get in n drive.

I don't normally drink milk or anything (was lactose intolerant as a child), but this year ive been having Up and Go's to start the day and maybe a bit of toast, and of course my friend COFFEE!

Next most important thing to do is keep yourself hydrated. I think this year made a huge difference for benny and I, by having energy drinks and lots of water. attention span lasted longer, felt fuller for longer and didn't really have any signs of fatigue set in.

Oh and if all else fails take a Quells atleast half hour before getting in the car and then another at lunch time :merli:

Wow thats an antique setup there!

Yep, keeping hydrated it a biggy. You gotta always feel like going to the potty. All the girls at Targa use those lady wee things so they don't need to strip down full to widdle. They can just stand up next to the boys on the side of the road. Its ahhhh, piss funny :merli:

What the....Really :merli:

Roy - Nah, E3 is an import rally car, can put Tassie SI rego on it though... my old GTR which still has it years later!

phunky - Road car, 3.2's are cheap now for what they offer, but 996 C2 isn't that much more and offers more go a proper roof, and less stick from mates!

So..... went to Winton today for a bit of a cobweb cleanout and to evaluate some new tyres (since me and Dunlop M1's were not great friends) and got halfway through the 1st practise session and I popped another front right wheel bearing - same as I did at Targa Wrest Point earlier in the year.

Don't suppose anyone out there might want to proffer an opinion on why I'm suddenly doing front right wheel bearings after 5 years?? The only significant difference on the car since before this issue started is a Nismo front diff. But I can't think why that might be doing it (unless someone can tell me otherwise?)

this got missed in all the whoring :ermm:

I was very quick to beleive the original report....looks like you're the one who's right Greg, not me :)

Andrew that's wierd as. where is it failing?

I guess you've checked every link and bush? even check the wierd stuff like king pins out.

I had that run where I broke both castor rods in 6 months but no problems since.
