I'm thinking after 7 years in the GT-R a new challenge could be welcome.

Not sure yet as I haven't had time to think about it propperly but I am thinking a 2WD challenge could be just what I need. And really if you think about it last year Early Mod was won by a 2WD car and this years should have been won by one so it's not like they can't be quick enough by any stretch. But the reality is I'm more worried about killing myself in one than I am about being competative as last year in my 2 little RWD motorsport drives (Caterham and Exige S) I did serverely suck! LOL

But that is why I am quite keen on this challenge.

Time will tell.

Craig Dean used to run a Supra, and back a few years he did quite well in it too.

When I was navving for Appo in the blue 34 Craig was behind us in the Supra prior to a stage and he walked up to the side window and told Appo to "keep an eye out for me, I'll catch you by the 10 kay point".

Appo said sure thing, even offered to let him go first but he declined.

We beat him by over a minute from memory, and the Supra was never seen again

Snowy, just get a 32 like us Bens mate  They're fun and cheap, perfect things

Anyone bought a rotary yet?

:P

when is the r32 gtst going to be allowed back into classic?????

if all us r32 guys pich in im sure we can mach what Brawbent payed to get them taken out. thats without taking to the 944 guys.

well classic was edge of your seat stuff this year....oh wait no it wasn't

:P hahaha

dunno why you'd want to discourage competition when you've already won the event before... surely its more fun when its tight at the top?!

isn't it about fun or am I wrong again...

I farking hate that i think this, but the only extra weight the R33 really carries over the R32 is from gearbox ad brakes. (from what i have read and understand) And you get easier power, stronge rgearbox and better front suspension.

IF the R32 GTSt now has to run in early modern then perhaps the R33 GTS25t makes more sense. God knows that they are actually cheaper then R32 GTSts these days....its funny that R31 GTS-Xs command the same money as R32 and more then R33s.

But, i dont care for the rules, if i build up a car it will be a lil R32 so i can make my current car a nicer roadie with some of the std bits. But, what was looking great a few weeks ago now looks shit.... I need to find a boss who doesnt do horrible things to me in uncomfortable places, so sick of being farked around by the man. I cant see me doing anything with my current car let alone a new car for a little while longer yet :P

Funnily enough I stood and waited ten minutes to speak with Rex as I didn't want to interupt his conversation. The guy looked right through me, wouldn't have had a clue who I was. lol

Should I let the cat out of the bag and tell you all I'm looking closely at a full race/rally 1978 Porsche Turbo in Europe at the moment? :) Don't tell anyone :P

I'll be in europe in a month so I'll unselfishly offer to test drive said Porsche for you... yes I know I'm a nice guy :P

R33 is a superior car, and the extra wieght is only from good things (more rigid chassis, and gearbox). Even if they are cheaper to buy, i think the running costs will be higher, engine is more, gearbox is more, and less R33 wrecks about to rape and pillege...and even less R33 GT-R's to strip for lightweight parts.

The tourqe would be nice, but there are cheap and legal ways to get tourqe out of a 20 :P
