Just make sure you buy some good quality ear plugs Blaise! :)

The full group C RX7 we ran in 1999 was so loud we ended up sewing 2 intercoms into the helmet and I still couldn't hear a bloody thing the nav said! Maybe a turbo would be a bit quieter?

It was a fine looking car though, I'll put up a couple of pics when I can find them..

^^^ That is essence why I won't run a rotor. Because I don't know enough about them, likely due to my lack of interest in them, I don't feel I'd ever make one reliable enough to cop a beating.

I still find the concept of a series 3 turbo version interesting though!

good stuff snowy. I thought a 35 might be the new direction. Should be a gun. I agree 100% on the 997 thing. double the cost of an R35 (well more than double) for a similar level or performance. and possibly the R35 is better on tarmac?

hope you get a quick sale of the old car and move on to the new one. :)

Yeah, rotor reliability is an issue. Seems even Mazda motorsport with all their backing can struggle, but I am guessing they are asking quite a lot from theirs.

I am sure there are people out there with the know how to make one last. And usual story, there is ususally a sweet spot where they will last a long time, and the tipping point where they become a grenande. :)

I know it was mentioned, but nissan bluebird turbo???

Yeah honestly Richard I didn't sleep hardly a wink last night thinking about selling my car (have a couple of interested parties already).

I want to try a new challenge which is really the only reason I'm selling - but at the same time I feel SMAUG has been part of the family for over 8 years and I feel like a bad parent or something letting it go!

I've had 4 different daily drivers in that time but only the one pet dragon.

:mage:

yeah mate I can see why you'd have mixed feelings about selling it. especially since this one is the snowy spec evoII version. with all the knowledge you learnt from the previous builds on the blue car. plus this one is still nice and fresh. not a 5 season old warrior that is in need of a new chassis and full makeover like many cars for sale.

anyway, I'm sure the new car will put those second thoughts behind you. :)
